Tour My Medicine Cabinet with Vaseline Total Moisture, Plus A Giveaway!

UPDATE 8/16/12: We have our giveaway winners! Picked at random, the winners are: #33 Tina, #81 donna k, #90 Ria #4 Tara , #100 j and #47 Cheyenne! Please check your email for further instructions from me on how to claim your prize. Congrats to our winners and thanks to everyone who entered, I'm glad I'm not the only lotion hoarder out there ;-)

Please note: The giveaway portion of this post has ended and is now closed to further entries.

Did you know that over one-third of women admit to having more than 20 products stored in their medicine cabinet? For me, the number is much, much higher. Recently I had the chance to test drive a new product that has helped me cut down on at least one category of beauty products, namely, lotions. Almost one-fourth of women say they own more than four lotions, and I think I counted at least 13 in my own cabinet (granted, I'm a blogger, but still. A bit unnecessary LOL).

Vaseline Total Moisture is the only lotion you need because it feels good on skin and does good for skin. Sometimes women feel they have to make a tradeoff between a lotion that feels good, or one that works well - but Vaseline Total Moisture does both.

I've been using Vaseline Total Moisture on all my nooks and crannies, from my hands down to the my feet, and have found it delivers a clean feeling formula that leaves my skin feeling healthy and soft. The oat variety combines pure oat extract and Stratys-3 multi-layer moisture complex for 24 hour moisturization that never feels greasy and won't wash off easily (say, when you wash your hands). I like the light fragrance that doesn't linger and the bright, cheerful packaging that my husband won't be afraid to use, either!

Vaseline Total Moisture is affordable, too, available in three sizes: 3 ox ($1.99), 10 oz ($3.99), 20.3 oz ($6.99) and 32 oz ($7.79).

I couldn't just rave about something without sharing, so I'm excited to be able to offer a fun giveaway for 5 lucky readers!

To enter: Tell me how many lotions you have in your own medicine cabinet in the comments section below.

The prize: Five (5) lucky winners will each receive one prize package, each including one (1) 10 oz. bottle of Vaseline Total Moisture, plus other fab beauty goodies.

Good luck!

Keep reading to take a tour of my de-cluttered medicine cabinet...

1. Willa Face Wash: A gentle refreshing cleanser that feels luxe. I use this before bed in the summer to clean my skin without over-drying.

2. Aubrey Shave Cream: Makes shaving fun. Leaves my legs soft and smooth.

3. Vaseline Total Moisture: Slather this on my hands, elbows, knees and feet to keep my summer skin looking smooth and silky. Great for travel, too, since it's good for everything!

4. Suave Keratin Infusion Heat Defense Leave-In Conditioner: There are no perfect products but this tames my frizz without weighing down my hair. I use it each time I blow-dry.

5. Julep 'Georgia' Nail Vernis: A pretty coral polish with a hint of shimmer that's great for hands and toes. Easy application and long lasting.

6. Julep Lip Vernis 'Poppy': I'm just getting into matching my nails to my lips and I'm hooked. This is the perfect partner to 'Georgia' and so summery.

7. Miracle Skin Transformer: I use this because I'm lazy. It's a decent tinted moisturizer with SPF that feels really smooth and silky, even if it doesn't provide the same coverage as foundation.

Way too many that's for sure. I wish I had a medicine cabinet to keep them all in! They are in three locations in my apartment that I know of...
#5 Cat on 2012-08-01 11:24 (Reply)
I have at least 6-7 lotions. Just switched from Jergens to Aveeno because I'm looking for more natural products. Will definitely have to try Vaseline Total Moisture though - since it seems like it's the best of both worlds!

#13 Jennifer on 2012-08-01 12:02 (Reply)
Forty bajillion lotions in my bathroom cabinet. That's a pretty good estimate. I am currently using Vaseline Aloe after suffering a nasty sunburn a few weeks ago. C'est la summer.

#16 Kay (Homepage) on 2012-08-01 12:18 (Reply)
Right now I have 2 main lotions: Nivea Skin Firming & Victoria's Secret Pink Beach Babe. I also have a few miscellaneous lotions I have had stored up for months. I always seem to change brands each time I run out so to find a good one to use continually would be awesome!

I don't have any in my medicine cabinet but I have 3 lying around the house!
#18 Jessica on 2012-08-01 12:20 (Reply)

As an Avon Rep I am not even going to answer that...no seriously, I have a few dozen but not stored in my medicine cabinet. I keep them atop the counter...in the medicine cabinet...on a 3 shelf by the shower...in the linen closet in my bathroom...in the linen closet in my son's bathroom...unused to be sold in the library...lol

I have five of them and use each one at some point during the day and week. The best one is Amlactin for my severe dry skin.
#35 Penny on 2012-08-01 16:34 (Reply)
Believe it or not, I only have one! It's the Suave Advanced Therapy Body Lotion. I have EXTREMELY dry hands that often crack and bleed during the winter (not so pretty) and this is the only one that seems to sink into my skin right away and doesn't come off if I have to wash my hands soon after applying. I've never tried the Vaseline one, but I'd sure like to!
#36 Nikki on 2012-08-01 16:41 (Reply)
I have two in the current rotation. But otherwise I probably have about 15! All different ones! Some I won in giveaways and others I simply couldn't resist! If hand cream counts too, the number is way higher! ;-)

#50 Monica on 2012-08-01 23:59 (Reply)
Wow! I didn't think I had too many, but it turns out I do! I have 6. A big vat of Kiehls, a freebie tub from Sephora, Bath and Body foot lotion, Vaseline Intensive Moisture fragrance free, lavander hand cream, and a Kiehls hand cream. Not including all my face moisturizers!

#54 Rachel from Love a la mode (Homepage) on 2012-08-02 02:10 (Reply)
I love Vaseline moisturizers! In fact, I'm using their Aloe one right now haha. I have at least 5 lotions in my cupboard, but they're extras, not actively used ones so does that count? Otherwise, I just use my Vaseline and a foot lotion on a daily basis.

Also, maybe your readers might be interested in my Lush makeup giveaway?

most of them have gotten too old!
Many thanks, Cindi
#78 Cindi on 2012-08-02 12:20 (Reply)
Guilty of having about 5-6 half full or so. Love the scented type body lotions, but then hate that I can't put on my fav perfume. Trying to find a really good lightly scented lotion for the whole family that keeps the skin moisturized without feeling heavy and greasy.
#79 Pat on 2012-08-02 13:40 (Reply)
I used to have about twelve bottles...
Now it's all gone! My sister had this one bottle she fell in love with, tried it even though I thought I'd never buy it for myself (department store random brand) and it's my ultimate ever since: Dial Nutriskin Bionutrient complex for dry skin!!! Great smell, silky touch, super absorbent... And not expensive!!!

I have three lotions in my medicine cabinet: Vaseline Cocoa Butter Body Lotion, Jergens Revitalizing Natural Glow Moisturizer Medium to Tan Skin Tones and Banana Boat Soothing Aloe After Sun Lotion.

The Vaseline lotion is perfect to use after showering. The Jergens lotion is great when you want a hint of a tan without laying out and the Banana Boat lotion is the best relief for when you spend a little too much time in the sun.

I really do not have many lotions at all. I twns to like something and stick with that. At the moment I have 3 different lotions and my fav at the moment is from the store Sabon and it was a gift from someone and I cant slather myself enough with it. Between the amazing soft smell and the moisturizing effects im a lotion lunatic at the moment. I am always down to try something new though. I can finish this one and fall in love with something else. I think you have to switch things around, otherwise the same old thing is the sme old thing. And I am not the same old thing :0)
