Tadashi Shoji showed us that lace isn't going anywhere with his colorful, delicate frocks in varying silhouettes from baby dolls to full on evening gowns, and even pajama-inspired pants. Tadashi absolutely captured the Modern Silk Road, where an East-meets-West theme played out with the use of Venetian cutwork and embroidered lace, making it easy to see myself wearing all of the pieces - and not just for evening wear. I was especially impressed with his attention to detail on each dress, and his choice to make the lace look "younger" by opting for strategically placed sheer fabric. So don't toss those lace and sheer pieces just yet ladies, it's sticking around for Spring 2013. —by The Budget Babe Correspondent, Megan Zietz
