Black Friday is behind us (barely) but really the whole week is a shopping frenzy from Black Thursday through Sunday - and then Cyber Monday kicks in! So, did you get everything on your wish list already? What deals did you score? I was visiting my family in Chicago and since I don't get to see them that often, I skipped the mall and just relaxed at home. And while I was very tempted to shop online, watching old home videos with my dad, eating Thanksgiving leftovers and catching up with friends trumped my urge to spend. How about you?

I did do some online shopping on Saturday as well as picked up some "leftover" deals in stores!

I'd rather wait like I do every year for the second week of January to scope out the sales.
This year, my plan was to shop at just one store- Urban Outfitters. I waited in line for 45 minutes just to ENTER the store. The checkout line was an additional 45 minutes. I spent about 15 minutes perusing through sale/clearance racks, just grabbing anything I liked. And the time that I had in line, I spent deciding what I wanted to purchase! All in all, I was able to get 9 tops/blouses, 1 jacket, 1 pair of shorts, 1 dress, and 1 bag for $120! I saved hundreds of dollars. Definitely worth the lost sleep!
I had bruises from shopping. Never again.
1. The same sales are also online. Plus you can get free shipping to store at most retailers or free shipping to your house.
2. Most stores now do black friday sales from a week before til the Sunday after. Home Depot had black friday pricing on fridges during the beginning of the month when mine broke. I used to work at AE and the 40% off was I think Tues & Wed as well as Friday.
3. Some store's black friday deals just stink. I was HOPING to score on something for my boyfriend, but Sephora only had $10 deals for women, and even those didn't appeal to me.
4. Cyber Monday is now a thing, so you have double days of online black friday pricing.
5. More retailers are doing Cyber Monday for a whole weekend instead of just Monday.
So basically it's like you get a whole week of black friday pricing, any day of the week depending on the retailer.
I went to Khols website on black friday for one thing, and it wasn't that bad. Too many people were complaining that the site was down on FB and it got annoying. Like do you or your kids really need that stuff or are you just buying because it's a deal?
I went to my local Target on that day because we needed some everyday items, and they still had a ton of cheap toys out that no one bought.
