Ashlee Simpson Designs for Wet Seal

Ashlee Simpson is designing a new line of tops for budget-fashion retailer Wet Seal which will hit stores on April 22 to coincide with the launch of the pop star’s third CD, Bittersweet World.

This news (if you can call it that) isn't all that exciting BUT it might be a clue that more "big things" are brewing over at Wet Seal headquarters. We'll be watching and waiting!

I dislike her, and if they were trying to make their brand more appealing and less "ghetto-boo" they picked the wrong person. She doesn't appeal to the typical Wet Seal crowd, and doesn't appeal to the type of people they're trying to attract. Nice try Wet Seal.

Ashlee seems to have a punk edge to her now motherness like image. Wet seal sometimes has some good deals for random pieces, hopefully Simpson will add some good flavor to the mix.
