Oh come on! The photos are so reworked its ridiculous! Good for her that she looks good, but lets not lie and make women feel bad- same thing as Heidi Klum, she admitted that they removed parts of her (ie love handles, etc) from the photos for the jeans she just came out with! Its just not right to drop these womens ages as if they really look like that at that age (and after children!) Cause, they don't. They're still gorgeous and in great shape no doubt, but all that photoshopping is really getting out of control.
I recently read that some magazines are photoshopping models to look bigger not smaller:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/fashion/main.jhtml?xml=/fashion/2008/04/13/efmags113.xml I ascribe to a school of thought that says art is automatically not to be equated with reality - it's a 2-dimensional representation of a 3D object and as such, can never be the thing it aims to depict. I'm not bothered by altered images of reality but I am most likely subconsciously affected by them... food for thought.
agreed. didn't she just marry a gazillionaire with an opulent wedding in india which got the locals all ticked off? like she doesn't have enough money? and regardless of what people say, maybe money can't buy happiness, but it can buy good looks! the photos don't even look like her.
heidi klum's kind of an airhead but at least she's honest about those love handles! and she makes no bones about making loads of money out of her products, and doesn't pretend it's her 'creative instincts' that make her do it. saw elle macpherson on a show recently and she was very full of herself, calling everyone 'baby' and stressed how important it was for her to design this and that. give me a break. anybody with a nickname of 'the body' isn't going to design for Everywoman, is she?
Oh that's right! I suppose I should have said "Mrs. Hurley" above...
hey guys, am i missing something, or do these bathing suits look exactly like what's in every store? why is this new?
BOOOORING.
I was just sorta "reporting" the news with this story, but you make a good point - it's like, what's so hard about designing a bathing suit anyhow? And why should so little fabric cost so much?
i think it's real easy to design things for a perfect shape. the trick is to design something that a lot of people can actually wear. face it, not many women over the age of 18 can wear those suits.
