Off the Rack: Happy Chic by Jonathan Adler at JCPenney

Happy Chic by Jonathan Adler at JCPenney

During a recent trip to JCPenney, I finally had a chance to scope out Happy Chic, the affordable home decor line by interior design darling Jonathan Adler. If you love ELLE Decor or Domino, you will love Happy Chic. It's modern, bright and fun. There's bedding, furniture, decorative accents, kitchen & bath accessories and more featuring Adler's unmistakable prints and patterns. The store display at my newly revamped JCP looked amazing - almost like a Bloomingdale's display, without the Bloomie's prices! It's really good stuff, you guys.
Sadly I was the only shopper scoping out the goods, which I thought were very reasonably priced, too, especially on sale. So far I've purchased two pillows to dress up my boring couch and I'm really happy with both items (this pillow and this pillow, both were on mad sale a couple weeks ago).

I think the home section at JCP is looking better each time I go…but will customers care? Have you checked out Happy Chic? What did you think?

These products look amazing. I'd be interested to see what the quality is like in person. Will have to check it out next time I'm at the mall!

Though I think they are cute and modern, I don't think I need another picture frame. My problem with the collection is the lack of colors. If there were more choices of colors, it might be easier. I also live in a pre-war building and many of the colors are too bright to work with my decor and the architecture of my rooms. I do not like his mix of some colors and it reminds me of the 60s (when I grew up in the 80s, our house was definitely built in the 60s...such a drag). If there was something teal to go with my bathroom (website link), I would purchase it.
