Budget DIY: Make Chic Wall Art with Your Tiffany & Co. Mailer

Tiffany's Mailer Art: Create Chic Wall Art with Mail from Tiffany & Co.

If you've ever received a gift or made even the smallest purchase from Tiffany & Co., you probably get the Tiffany & Co. catalog delivered to your doorstep via snail mail. I always get excited when I see that thick envelope in that perfect shade of iconic Tiffany blue arrive in my mailbox, but I have trouble parting with it even when I'm done flipping through the pages - it's just such an eye-catching hue, and it seems like such a waste to toss it out. So usually, I stash the pretty blue envelope away in my office and just recently, I came up with a way to recycle this lovely, heavyweight paper and create some chic wall art in the process! Keep reading for the stupid easy how-to (so simple, it can be accomplished during an infant's nap! I should know.)

Supplies

Supplies: All you need is a Tiffany blue envelope, scissors, double-sided tape, a frame, and some cut-out letters. I got my silver letters for $1.00/pack in the dollar bin section at Target (shown in this post). If you hurry you might still find them, I spotted them this past weekend. (Don't get the Tiffany & Co. mailer? Request a catalogue here.)

Turn junk mail into art!

Step 1: Carefully unfold the envelope along the seams.
Step 2: Cut to fit your frame (8"x10" is best)
Step 3: Arrange your letters and affix using double-sided tape. I went with a simple "For Like Ever" expression but you could use any phrase that means something to you!
Step 4: Frame your masterpiece and you're done! I got my frame at Target and used a Cartwheel coupon, but any frame will do.

See? So easy, it's silly. I'm not even sure this qualifies as a DIY but I'm loving the end result. I certainly can't afford to buy myself Tiffany jewelry on a whim, but I can still embrace the beauty of what the brand stands for with my wee Tiffany wall art.

What do you think? Is this something you would try? Maybe for Valentine's Day?

What a cute, simple idea! I think the hardest part would be coming up with something clever to spell out lol

Thanks! I agree - I tried not to overthink this one. And since I used double sided tape, I can easily swap in a different quote/motto etc when the inspiration strikes!
