Old Navy is ready for spring and they're going full-out nautical, from the prints to the color palette. It's all about red, white and navy, with a healthy dose of stripes, anchors, sail boats and rope prints. Word play on tops is still going strong, with phrases like "Ahoy" rendered in sequins on a tan sweater or "Take me to the sea" decorating a gray pullover. Light layers abound, so you can pull out (or replenish) such basics as chambray shirts and denim jackets and pair them with the new Pixie ankle pants or ponte knit skirts.
In the accessories department, they have a D'Orsay flat with an indent on the toe that makes this style easier to wear, plus nautical boat shoes and classic sneakers in updated pastel hues. New nylon totes have a Longchamp 'Le Pliage' feel, and I liked this leather-look tote, too.
Finally, there's tons of new denim to choose from ($19, not bad even if you missed this past weekend's extra $5 off promo) - think faded gray, bright white and a muted blue floral.
Are you ready to set sail for spring with Old Navy's nautical offerings?
