Halloween Décor That Won’t Bore!

Stylish Halloween decorating ideas

In this weekly column, I'm sharing budget-friendly decor ideas that just look expensive! This week we're getting ready to have a chic Halloween. Visit my blog A Vintage Splendor for more ideas.

Halloween is probably my second favorite holiday – right after Thanksgiving – and I never skimp on the decorations. Regretfully, the only scary thing about most Halloween decor you find in stores is how cheesy it looks! I’m here to tell you that there is hope and share some great décor items that will let you celebrate the spookiest holiday in style – and on a budget.
There’s no better way to greet guests - or come home - than to a haunted doormat! If you love to host parties or guests, opt for a decorative server that can be used to display cupcakes. These coasters are low-price, but will decorate a table top and bar cart easily.

Replace the café lights on the patio with some flickering lanterns that will surely set an eerie mood! If you prefer to decorate minimally then opt for these potion bottles in place of a vase or use as a centerpiece with some tea lights. Another option is a black pillar candle holders which can last you year round. Drip some wax on the candle holder which will add a dose of haunted house aesthetic to the décor.

Just like the black candle holder, this oval mirror can work into the rest of your décor year round – who doesn’t want some Halloween cheer all the time?

These jeweled skulls and pillar candles are a nod to Day of the Dead celebrations. Finally, these ravens are my favorite Halloween decorations, especially if you’re looking for minimal and cheap décor. They add the right touch of creepy and with some cotton balls, you can transform your home into a haunted house (ghosts not included).
