In this weekly column, I'm sharing decor tips & finds that look expensive but won't break the bank! This week, we're looking ahead to spring. For more inspiration, visit my blog A Vintage Splendor.
Spring is just about a month away and for most of the US that may seem like eons away. It’s definitely “springing” here in Los Angeles, while everyone else is enjoying a massive drizzling of snow. Fear not, you can bring the warmth of spring to your home with these 10 fabulous pieces.
A bright bouquet of flowers in a pastel vase is a simple way to transition into spring. These vases can also be used year-round (think mod-Christmas!). There's no better way to say hello and welcome guests into your home than a fun dose of color. The festive colors and print can also be worked through the fall season.
There are 2 decor pieces that I love because of their versatility and low-cost wow factor: trays and pillows. A tray can be used from organizing your den to serving cocktails to adding a punch of color in the entryway or even bathroom. As I've mentioned before, pillows will transform your entire space. If your sofa is feeling tired, a couple of pillows (here, here, here and here) will give it new life (on the cheap).
In addition to the basics, like a decorative storage bin or jute inspired runner, I love adding a fun element in unexpected places. These punchy guest towels are the perfect touch to any guest bath!
You don't need to do a complete overhaul to bring the season's brights into your home. Au contraire, just one or a few pieces can bring life into your living space without feeling forced. These pieces are all under $55, plus you can order them online in the comfort and warmth of your home.
