Two Ways to Wear It: Summer Leather

In this week’s Two Ways to Wear it column, team Sydne Style shows us how to wear leather during the warm summer months. The trend works whether you are petite like Sydne (left) or tall like Haley. Check out sydnestyle.com for more fashion inspo!

Wearing summer leather is a huge trend this season. The key to wearing leather in summer is choosing a shape that falls a bit away from the body, giving your skin plenty of room to breathe. And you have to be savvy about what you pair it with.

Sydne brought summer leather into her outfit by sporting a leather tank (love this leather-look cami, too). The sleeveless style is perfect for the warmer months since it keeps your arms bare. This tank also adds a touch of edge, which is always a fun way to mix up your outfits.

Sydne paired it with a camo print (similar), which is also a stronger piece. So adding feminine accents like pointy stilettos and gold jewelry brought in a glam factor.

A skirt is another way to wear the trend. Haley (Vest Dressed) went with an A-line shape, to avoid getting sticky in warmer months. She paired her leather skirt with a lightweight tee for an effortless vibe that keeps you cool. A bright shade, like hot pink, brings a playful factor to the look. Plus, nothing screams summer more than a pineapple print (hello, sequin pineapple tee)!

Summer leather works for any occasion, whether you are going to meet up with friends or you are going to a nice dinner date. Just make sure to remember to pair it with lightweight options, bright colors and fun prints to keep it seasonally appropriate.
