The Look for Less: Fall Scarf Edition

The Look for Less: Fall Scarf Edition
Scarves are an essential part of any fall wardrobe, giving simple looks that added element of style that takes them from boring to beautiful. After pouring over dozens of images on Instagram and PInterest, I've narrowed down the scarf styles I wanted to add to my wardrobe to the following three designs. I already own basic neutrals like gray, camel, ivory, black and navy, so I've focused on adding new prints and colors that are on-trend this season. It's a budget-friendly way to up your style factor, stay warm and look good. So let's get started!

It should come as no surprise that plaid scarves top my list of fall scarf must-haves. This classic print is everywhere, from Walmart to Target to Nordstrom. You can mix plaid with stripes (here) or leopard (here) for a fun eclectic look , with blazers (here) for a traditional vibe or a cargo jacket (here) for a modern It-girl ensemble.

Animal prints like leopard and cheetah are a perennial favorite, but it never hurts to add another leopard print scarf (or two) to your collection! Look for these at Walmart (that's where I got mine), Target, Payless and T.J.Maxx/Marshalls to score one under $20. Style with a cognac moto jacket and chambray for a cool vibe (here), or mustard and stripes (here) for a playful yet polished outfit.

If you have a lot of neutrals, consider adding a new fall color to your scarf repertoire like Bordeaux (also known as merlot or burgundy) that looks gorgeous with all skin tones. Olive green and mustard yellow are also excellent options. A colorful scarf brightens up a look and ties everything together, like in this look and this look I featured on Instagram.

I have been a fan of that Target scarf all season and it's on sale now! (They have a few others I like too).

You should stop by my blog today to see the Valentino rain boot dupe that I found. I would never have been able to guess the real with so many other close options.
