Looks for Less: 5 Spring Trends

Looks for Less: 5 Spring Trends
Despite recent snowstorms across the nation, Spring is right around the corner. I promise. With the warmer temps, come new trends. Get excited for some really fantastic fashion. From florals to futuristic, here are 5 Spring 2016 trends to shop now...

To quote Miranda Priestley from The Devil Wears Prada, "Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking." Even though there is nothing particularly inventive about florals for Spring, it doesn't mean they are any less fitting. In fact, there will always be something fun and enjoyable about wearing brightly-colored patterns after a long, dull winter. They will always be an oldie but goodie.

Splurge: Givency Floral Print Blouse $755
Save: Choie's Vintage Floral Shirt $17

Cold shoulder dresses have been a trend for a while. However, when would it be more relevant to wear than at the beginning of Spring? They are perfect for transitional weather. Not too hot, not too cold. Just right.

Splurge: Yigal Azrouel Cold Shoulder Dress $990
Save: TopShop Cold Shoulder Dress $24

There's something crisp and clean about a silver metal bracelet. It's sleek, it's clean, it's minimalistic. The futuristic trend is hitting more than just jewelry, but to avoid looking too Lady Gaga/Ziggy Stardust on the street, a simple bracelet might be the best way to go. I really love the cut-out bracelet and how it can be subtly sexy, too.

Splurge: Dinh Van Seventies Cuff $1,150
Save: Forever 21 Cutout Cuff $6.90

Not only is it Spring, it is officially wedding season. Maybe that's why the romantic vintage trend is, once again, a staple of the season. Straying away from the usual pastel color palette, this cobalt blue is something fun and interesting. It has that sweetness factor from the lace, but also the "BAM" factor from the color. It would be the perfect dress to wear when you're attending your 10,000th wedding.

Splurge: Alexis Bell Sleeve Dress $575
Save: Choie's Lace Overlay Bodywrap Dress $38

Normcore has once again crawled it's jersey-tops-and-sweatpants-head back into our lives. If you don't know what normcore is, think Yeezy. Any season. So, basically, throw on a hoodie like it's 2002 and rock those Nikes. Just don't pay through the nose for something that is meant to be loungewear once the sensation is over.

Splurge: Yeezy Season 1 Hoodie $265
Save: Oversized Hooded Sweatshirt $30

I love all of these options...and your budgets finds are just a cute or cuter than the splurges. I hope Kanye used pure gold thread on his hoodies!
