Yesterday I popped into Kohl's to check out the new Reed Krakoff collection of apparel and handbags. I'm calling this a mini review because I had neither the strength nor the wherewithal to actually try on the clothes, but I got a chance to feel the pieces and get a sense of quality. It's nice. I was not impressed by the lookbook but the collection looks good in person. You can see more of the collection by following me @budgetbabe on Snapchat (I'm a newbie so please bear with me as I figure the whole Snapchat thing out). I really liked this eyelet shirtdress and even this chambray shirtdress. If you saw someone carrying the Reed Atlantique Satchel ($96.75 for the Large, down from $129) you might mistake it for an authentic designer bag.
Still, I think the Reed x Kohl's collection is generally overpriced and many of the styles look quite dated, like the floral prints and the scuba fabric. The color palette could use some refinement. When you touch the bags, they have that rigid faux leather feel. Of course everything is already on sale. I wouldn't mind owning the RK40 if the price goes down just a bit more. I love love love that classic belted detailing.
Thanks for sharing your comments on the Reed collection earlier; anyone else have a chance to check out the collection since? What did you think?
Shop the entire Reed x Kohl's collection.

The bags were just a knock off of his line in fake leather, why?
the clothing was just meh. I tried on one piece, and they just did the chiffon on the front.
Apt 9 and JLopez and the rest better made
