Fall fashion, here we come: Preview pics of the Comme des Garçons Collection for H&M are out, and it doesn't take a genius to see they're distinctly representative of Rei Kawakubo’s avant-garde style. Whether or not you can see yourself actually wearing these pieces, they're certainly conversation starters. If you can get your hands on just one item, I'd grab the harem aka drop-crotch pants (so very adventurous). Many of the jackets seem well-crafted and quite easy to wear. The color palette also keeps this collection accessible. So what do you think?

I mean, seriously. Drop-crotch pants?!?!? Where can those even be worn?
They clamor for these type of clothes. Look at their fashion magazines---very extreme compared to US high -end fashion magazines. If you can , go there and you'll witness the most refreshing, most vibrant and the quirkiest street fashion you'd ever see.
I've seen people in Japan and I could swear that they are one of the best-dressed people in the world.
Literally, I would be able to sit and watch people for ours and admire every person's sense of style.
However I don't honestly think that the clothes seen in this post reflects the ways people from Japan dress even if it is "eccentric and youthful" as you say.
But anyway, I do agree with you that Japan does have high fashion and if you keep up with their fashion magazines, they often do set trends more often than others.
(well, all except the drop-crotch pants )
