The J. Crew Factory sale is misleading. Their banner header on the site says the same as you - 50% off with their code so you put items in your cart based on that assumption. Then the code doesn't activate so you contact Customer Service which says oh, it's already discounted. When I decide on those pants I am basing my decision on a presumed $50 price point, not $100.

I agree, it's misleading. It says 50% off everything - prices as marked. Then, get an additional 50% off clearance with code FOURTHFUN. The items I bought were on clearance, so the code worked for me, so I didn't notice that it wouldn't have worked on the "already 50% off" items. I'm beginning to wonder, when are things NOT half-off at J.Crew Factory...? Seems like they just mark stuff up to mark it down (including the so-called clearance). Still, $25 seemed like a reasonable price for a bathing suit. I paid more for mine at Target last summer (great suit, though!)
