If you caught Saturday's post, you may have heard that L.A.-based apparel brand J.O.A. now has a budget-friendly fashion line at Target.com called J. by J.O.A. Thanks to alert reader Julianne A. for the tip!
For comparison, here are some J.O.A. pieces (shown above) available at Shopbop.com. Prices range from $49 for this linen cold-shoulder ruffle top (on sale) to $100 for this flocked organza ruffle dress.
Per the designer description on Shopbop.com, J.O.A. is a "fashion-forward lifestyle brand [which] draws inspiration from around the world and from its fashion-savvy customers." Launched in 2013, J.O.A. has "effortless, runway-inspired" shorts, dresses, skirts and tops priced mostly under $100. You can find J.O.A. at stores like Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom and Revolve.
So what can we expect from J by J.O.A. at Target? From what I can see on the website, you can get super similar styles (in juniors sizing, synthetic materials) for about half the price!
While some pieces read very young, this gingham peplum top looks really chic and fashion-forward (nice enough for the office) and costs just $26.58 on clearance.
Target is in the process of revamping its labels, which includes getting rid of its Merona and Mossimo brands, so stay tuned for more changes to come.
The 'bullseye' has already begun phasing out their Circo and Cherokee lines for kids and replaced them with Cat & Jack, to mixed reviews from Budget Babe readers.
Below I've rounded up 10 of my favorites from the J by J.O.A. line at Target. The ruffles and cold-shoulder are definitely on-point. What do you think?
