Yesterday I was bemoaning the death of celebrity style, but one look at Celine Dion's Paris trip and I'm happy to report that fashion is alive and well in the City of Lights! Here are five tips to take-away from the iconic singer's best looks:
1. Celine looks so polished yet romantic in this dusty pink ensemble featuring a structured button-front shirt and full floral Rochas skirt. There are so many tips to glean from this one ensemble, my favorite being the monochromatic palette - play with different shades of and textures of the same hue for a chic fall look. Also, while some sources are saying Millenial pink is on its way out, I don't see any signs of it waning...

2. Red is a hot hue for fall, and we saw it all over the runways from Altuzarra to Fendi to Creatures of the Wind. Here, I'm loving how Celine updates a classic white t-shirt and jeans with a red leather jacket and matchy-matchy ankle boots. Wear your jacket as a cape for bonus points.

3. Everyone will need a pair of over-the-knee boots to complete their fall wardrobe. At the Giambattista Valli Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week show, I love how Celine contrasts a pastel floral mini dress with rich suede over-the-knee boots in a deep purple color (another big color for fall 2017) that bridges the seasonal gap. #swoon

4. Leather always comes back each season, and Celine rocked this textile on everything from overalls to an off-the-shoulder top. Here she's outfitted in the chicest mustard yellow leather shirtdress by Dior, styled with a figure-flattering wide belt. Whether you try leather on a new silhouette this fall, or opt for a piece in mellow yellow, you can't go wrong.

5. This look is decidedly more bold than some of the others featured here, but let's not forget Celine is a performer and she's earned her stripes, to say the least. If Celine wants to wear a full-on snake print trench coat with matching over-the-knee python boots, Celine can wear it! And she wears it well, grounding the futuristic look in a solid black turtleneck tunic. For fall, you'll definitely want to add at least once python piece to your wardrobe - something like Celine's bag, from her new handbag line no less, will do the trick. While I don't see this bag available yet, you can shop her debut line at Nordstrom. Prices range from just $78 to $298.
