Dress by Number: Ms. Raspberry Beret


If you need inspiration regarding how to wear scarves, then you should definitely bookmark The Sartorialist. Regular readers of said blog will soon learn that a scarf is a compulsory winter accessory for looking chic and effortlessly pulled together. (Easier said than done, right?) The stylish young woman above loosely wraps her oversized gingham scarf around her neck and shoulders--almost like a shawl. I saw this on the Sartorialist and loved it. I have long 100% leather gloves that I bought from Target for $19.99. They make every outfit fancy!

Oh! great tip! much better than the super expensive gloves i found at VS. Looks like Target.com is out of stock of the long leather gloves in black, but they still have these dark drey metallic ones that look amazing:

I adore all these pieces individually, but never would've thought to throw them together. Especially loving that classic dress and the luxe oversized clutch. Yum!

I am a huge fan of Sart and this pic really spoke to me...maybe because I swear I have that scarf. In fact I am wearing it right now. In fact there's a pic of it on my blog right now! Now if only I could pair it with a fabulous outfit that just SCREAMS chic!

Also wish I could pull off a beret better - I don't seem to have the hair for it (but I dunno, that pic is also my blog so you be the judge!) :-P

I love The Sartorialist! I've gotten inspiration for so many outfits from people on his website. It's so interesting to see how people express themselves with clothing all over the world.
