On Friday, I received my OPI Alice In Wonderland Mini Nail Lacquer Set which I had purchased from amazon.com for a grant total of $10.74. My first thought when I opened the Disney-branded box was, "Am I too old for this?" But then I quickly reassured myself that women of all ages can enjoy nail polish inspired by a timeless, whimsical tale that was intended to be read by adults as much as children. And the soon-to-be-released movie is directed by Tim Burton and stars Johnny Depp, clearly adult entertainment!

The Christian Siriano for Payless Spring 2010 Collection is now available at payless.com, and includes satin platform pumps, ruffle flats, laceless sneaks, cutout booties and one patent handbag, ranging in price from $29.99 to $39.99.

Much like the fall 2010 collection, all the spring styles have been significantly toned down from the looks that were shown on the runways, leaving many fans of Siriano's fierce footwear feeling let down. I don't mind toned down versions for everyday wear but I have felt underwhelmed whenever I see these shoes in person.

Lauren Conrad Teams Up with Mark to Empower Girls

On Tuesday night, I was invited along with other journalists and bloggers to learn about a new campaign from mark (the beauty and fashion boutique brand of Avon) called m.powerment, a philanthropic initiative dedicated to breaking the cycle of dating abuse and partner violence. There we learned the sobering statistic that 1 in 5 teens in a serious relationship reports being physically abused by a partner.

The event was held at the hotel Crosby in Soho and hosted by Lauren Conrad (The Hills), Claudia Poccia, Global Present of mark, and a Peer Educator Leader from the Healthy Relationship Training Academy of New York City. Guests got to see the new PSA for the campaign (watch the video above!) and participate in a Q&A with Lauren, who talked about raising awareness for this great cause.

Spring Fashion Trends 2010: Sequins

Sequins reappeared on the runways for Spring 2010 proving yet again that the trend toward sartorial bling is here to stay, recession or not. But in light of the way designers have been rethinking this shiny adornment for day, night and day-to-night, it should come as no surprise: Sequins can still be luxe, as seen on Lanvin's Paris runways, and sequins can still shimmer on cocktail dresses—albeit the quite unconventional party frocks presented on the models at Miu Miu. Nylon has first look photos of the highly anticipated Alexander McQueen Collection for Target. Using Leila Moss, the lead singer to the Duke Spirit, as his creative inspiration, McQueen turned out skinny jeans, leggings, graphic tees, a jumpsuit, and some simple dresses in a desaturated black, white and gray color palette punctuated by pops of cobalt blue and hot pink.

"I wanted my Target collection to feature key aspects of the McQ Alexander McQueen aesthetic, classic craftsmanship with a rebellious, nostalgic flare,” McQueen told NYLON. "The collection is comprised of effortless, chic menswear inspired tailored pieces that women will feel confident wearing."

Looking past the androgynous styling of these models, I can see myself rocking many of these looks, especially the dresses (LOVE the one-shoulder number in the top row). I've also got my eye on that gray jacket worn with a blue abstract print dress, and the jumpsuit (oh yes, it will be mine.)

The Fendi Boudoir Sandal featuring mesh straps and sky-high heels has been spotted on celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Minnillo and Lindsay Lohan. I love how each of them styled these shoes in completely different ways.

Here's a close up of the shoe in question. I couldn't find the exact price for these but Fendi heels at Net-A-Porter.com typically retail for approximately $700-900.

Here's the knockoff from Forever 21 which they call the Posh Stiletto Heel, $20.80. Aren't they gorgeous?! I think I've found my Valentine's Day shoes. Click the image to purchase this look for less.

On the accessible end of the Armani Group empire is A|X Armani Exchange, a sexy, modern, street-chic label known for its provocative ad campaigns. Although it's the most affordable Armani brand, most items sell around the $100 mark, which is why I rarely feature their stuff, but when I got the Spring 2010 Campaign images in my inbox, I decided to share in case there are any Armani Exchange fans out there. If nothing else, the male models are easy on the eyes!

Beautry Review: Sally Hansen Nail Polish in Commander in Chic

Here's me wearing two coats of polish on an overcast day, photographed outdoors without the flash.

Chanel's new spring nail colors—specifically Chanel Particuliere Le Vernis Nail Colour—has everyone scrambling to find the perfect mushroom, taupe or putty nail polish for less, which led me to test out Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish in Commander in Chic by Sally Hansen ($7.99 at Ulta.com). I purchased mine for $6.99 at Target.

I definitely agree with readers who tried this polish before me—the brush is fantastic because it's a little wider and flatter than most brushes, allowing for smooth, even and easy application. But the color is rather sheer, so three coats are required for full coverage. I get really impatient with nail polish, so I just applied 2 coats (3 on my thumbs, haha).

The subtle, sophisticated color is flattering and looks best on shorter nails. It looks different in different lighting situations, of course, but overall it has that slightly purplish-grey-taupe look I was going for. I would like to try something that's a little less glossy, and a little more creamy, though shine is good for hiding imperfections. I feel like I have to be super careful when applying matte colors as these tend to show every flaw.

Ask BB: Budget-Friendly Walking Shoes for Winter in NYC

I need some advice on shoe choice for a tourist's trip to NYC. I am going in early February and the forecast should be cold and rainy. I plan to do a lot of walking and would like to find a shoe that is comfortable enough to walk in, durable enough to withstand any rainy conditions, yet stylish enough to go from day to night (nothing dressy, but possibly a Broadway show). It might sound boring, but I think a classic black boot by a reputable brand is your best bet. Something classic yet modern will keep your feet comfy and cozy for a full day of walking, climbing subway stairs and trudging through rain puddles, possibly even slush and snow. Would you please suggest an outfit for a long weekend getaway in Orlando, Florida? Something to explore Universal theme park in? I believe it's a bit chilly in Florida at the moment. —M

Parts of Florida have been experiencing unseasonably cold weather this winter, so I'd wear a trench and cardigan on the plane. These will keep you comfy should the sun decide to hide on your vacation.

Theme parks are notoriously casual but that doesn't mean you can't look cute. And there are plenty of nice restaurants, bars and nightclubs to entertain grownups in the evenings, so if you plan on going out, pack a cute top and dark jeans or black pants for such occasions.

Outfit 1

Classic: A classic trench is a travel must-have that goes from day to night, sunny skies to thunderstorms. Red leather flats from the Gap are a comfy yet chic way to get around.

Casual Cool: I can't wear Converse sneaks myself (not enough arch support), but thousands (perhaps millions?) of people swear by them for comfort and hipster style. Add a boyfriend blazer to cover up if it gets cold.

You may have noticed the return of Dr. Martens, a shoe that epitomized '90s grunge style. I'm dating myself here, but yes, I owned a pair in high school and I adored them. I still regret giving them away (sniff, sniff).
