L.A. Girl Flare Bright Delights Nail Lacquer in Indigo

After weeks of wearing hot pink polish over the summer, I was ready for a change, and going dark seemed a natural choice. While waiting in line to check out at Forever 21, the impulse bins worked their magic on me and I ended up buying a bottle of L.A. Girl Flare Bright Delights Nail Lacquer in Indigo. Best $2.80 I've spent in a long time! I love the glossy ink-blue hue that reads like black in low-light settings. I'm wearing one coat in the photo shown here; two coats gives you a slightly deeper, darker blue. L.A. Girl's Indigo nail lacquer is the only accessory I need on a chilly day (besides fingerless gloves and a plush scarf) to remind me that under all those layers of heavy winter garb lives a fashionable girl.

What color nail polish are you wearing (or wanting) for fall?

Ooh! I am loving the dark blue! That would look so cool with the mattifying top coat, wouldn't it!?

One of my faves is Zoya Indigo. It is a dark blue too, but has a bit of shine to it and it is so pretty! Plus Zoya doesn't have any of the dangerous chemicals often found in nail polishes like the one above. It is quite a bit pricier at $7, but they run BOGO facebook/twitter promotions often. which makes Zoya comparable in price to this forever 21 polish. I totally stock up when they give out a coupon code!

Here is an address for a pic of the color I am talking about.

Another dark color I really like is OPI Lincoln Park After Midnight, but it is much more expensive and I haven't seen them do any kind of promotion or sale.

Check out the Zoya though! If you like BB's polish above, you will love this one!

oooh I LOVE your color! The hint of sparkle is perfect this time of year, and I just recently became a Zoya fan, too:

Another good option that's not so budget friendly but worth the splurge is Dior Vernis in Poison Blue (scroll to the end of this post to see it):

p.s. Can you recommend a good mattifying topcoat? I've never tried those :-)

BB I have that same color and I love it, but let me just inform you that taking it off will be quite a tedious task!! That's the only downside, imo.

i'm LOVING darker colors for this fall. i used to only wear corals and pinks in general but recently i've branched out. i bought a purple opi color and two colors from color club - gunmetal and this really gorgeous blue/green! i LOVE it .. seriously changes my entire mindset as cheesy as it may sound ;P

Hey BB! Essie's "Matte About You" is a topcoat polish that will give any polish you own a matte, velvety finish. I have tried it on so many of mine and it's like having 2 different colors for every bottle you own. =)

I wear blue and gray all year long. I'm looking for a dark green right now.
