6 Under $60: Fair Isle Sweaters

Another perennial winter fashion favorite of mine is the Fair Isle sweater, that Nordic-style knit which conjures up images of Aspen lodges and hot toddies sipped on bearskin rugs before crackling fires. Pair yours with leggings, edgy boots and simple silver jewelry (like Hilary Duff) to balance proportions and keep your look modern. Keep reading for 6 super affordable Fair Isle-inspired sweaters under $60. Which would you wear?

I wish I liked Fair Isle. I really do. Unfortunately it always reminds me of my severely style-challenged friend from middle school, who wore the exact same Aeropostale fair isle sweater from approximately 7th grade at least until senior year (which was ten years ago. I haven't seen her much since but I'd wager she still has it). So it kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.

Love Hilary's look though, especially the leggings with the Louboutins. I'd rock that, just with a different sweater :-)

I'm not a big Fair Isle fan either, but the ShopRuche dress is darling!

I love the ShopRuche dress and the Forever 21 cardigan. The Chaps cardi is cute, too. I think I prefer the tonal fair isle print versus a really colorful one. Great picks!

I like 1,2, and 3. I really like the American Living line at JC Penny, but none of it fits! It's such a shame because it's very classic American...some of it is very Ralph Lauren-ish.

Hmmmm....I wish I liked these sweaters, but no matter how hard I try, I just can't. Something about them really bothers me. I'm oddly attracted to the JCP one, but I would have a love/relationship with it. I'm just not a big pattern fan I guess. LOVE Hillary's boots :-)

I have one similar to the F21 one that I got from Old Navy last year. It does look good with jeans and boots.

Um, I do sometimes love these sweaters but Colleen's memory of them (while making me laugh) has kind of turned me off, too! Haha, because I can remember one or two of those girls in my middle school who were also fans of these sweaters, and wore the same one or two all the time! Oh well, anything looks good with Loubs.

I like the chaps cardigan. Where can I find leggings that look like jeans? I'd like a pair that have a little more structure(aka doesn't show every lump.
