The Jeffrey Campbell 'Lubbock' Over the Knee Boot in black suede features back laces and two buckle straps, and sells for $224.95 at Nordstrom.com.
If you're not ready to commit quite that much cash to the over-the-knee boot trend, try the Rainkiss Suedette Boot instead. These statement-making boots come in either black or brown for just $34.80 at Forever 21. Thanks to reader Jasmine for the tip on these!!
I mean no offense, but what about affordable fashions for people who don't want cheap, disposable clothes that everyone else is wearing? It frustrates me that fashion on a budget these days finds it hard to get more creative than sending everyone to the same four or five mass retailers.
However, I think there's got to be something more interesting to post on a fashion blog than comparisons of F21 stuff to other more expensive stuff, because it's pretty well obvious ALL their stuff is copied off designer duds. And for a blog of BB's quality, it sounds a lot like the work of a shill, not of someone actually interested in fashion. Just IMO.
As for the rest of the comments, if you can afford Louboutins, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, etc., buy them. However, for those who have champagne tastes and beer pocketbooks, let's take the inspired-by finds at face value and know that they're NOT going to be exact replicas.
are over the knee boots too racy for the workplace? i imagine you'd have to pair them with a short skirt/dress to make the proportions look right, and i wasn't sure if there was a way to pull them off outside of the trendy realm.
P.S. With a long sleeve or 3/4 sleeve dress (maybe with a floral print to lighten it up?) I think that the boots could be workplace appropriate but a skirt might look too racy. Consider some lace tights with that dress also if you're feeling more modest or unsure.
