We're kicking off the 2010 Big Buddha Style Star program with the Hibiscus Hobo! (valued at $85) This classic shape highlights one of Springs major trends with its feminine floral details and is an easy choice for everyday wear. Two winners will be selected and crowned Big Buddha Style Stars! One will receive the Hibiscus Hobo in white, one will receive the Hibiscus Hobo in black.

I consider myself a style star for a few reasons. First, I love fashion but I'm the definition of a poor college student, meaning I need to be thrifty. I pay attention to the trends of the season, and compliments on wearing nail polish in the perfect shade of the season. However, I know that I can do things myself that others can have the luxury of getting done for them. I can do my own nails, well. I can do an up do of any hair length, and I can find an expensive looking formal dress for 15 at ross. I'm sure finances will eventually improve for me, but I certainly prefer the "Did you do your make up yourself? WOW!' to spending my money left and right.

And I would definitely rock one of those bags

I'm a style star because I forge my own fashion course! I work in an academic setting that is all too often a sea of black business casual separates. I'm not afraid to express myself in bright colors, flattering cuts, and fabulous accessories - standing out in the best way possible.

I'm a style star because I always outshine a dull day and even duller fashion choices. I am never afraid to try something new, put two opposing (or three) colors together. To layer, unlayer, remix layers in one outfit, and then try it all again.

I would also rockstar that bag in all situations.

I'm a style star because I rock my own look, which is girlie, punk and fun. I'm not afraid to look weird or be different. I don't make a lot of money so I do the best with what I can, and by shopping sales and inexpensive stores.
Basically, I am a style star because I'm not afraid to be the big pink feather boa in an office of black flats.

'm a style star because I make sure I'm dressed well before leaving the house. I refuse to walk out in jeans and a sweatshirt, even though I might want to. I make sure to look professional and fun all at the same time. I'm a stylish person who makes sure it shows, usually through my awesome shoes (see my blog!) and accessories! This bag would be a GREAT statement piece in my wardrobe.

I'm 41 almost 42. I've never had the "right" body for fashion, but I've loved clothes & shoes anyway. I am a size 14 and have really worked to make my clothing work for me and help my existing body rather than subject myself to the tyrrany of sizing. I teach creative writing at the community college and these "young kids"

of 18, 19 always ask me where I find my clothes, how I put things together, etc. I buy a lot of one of a kind things from the gorgeous and talented designers at Etsy, and I mix things w/the likes of JC Penney, Old Navy, Macys, etc. When I was younger I tried to be something I wasn't. Now I am who I am -- and the I that I am would ROCK THIS BAG.

I'm a style star because (like #4) I work in a stodgy academic setting as a lecturer but try (and sometimes succeed!) in making things interesting by wearing florals, colours and shoes-not-normally-considered-"academic".

I am also a style star because most fashion mags don't really cater to my colour/background and it is a bit of a challenge to imagine how things/colours/patterns would work despite never having seen them on someone like me. E.g. pastels? Not for me

On that note, hurrah for fashion bloggers where there is more diversity (and discussion of diverse shapes/colours)

I am a style star even after a long day at work with all me and the lovely ladies that come in. Picking up my childrend from school and visiting with friends in the parkinglot. Running home making dinner doing homework. Taking off for the latest practice we are attending to watch, cheer and, visit. ALL rocking our a cute pair of shoes and a great bag (that would belong to you that I could advertise). I love that my kids still think that I look young and cool enough to wear todays clothes and they are proud to be seen with me. I need a new cute lovely purse to rock out infront of my friends.

I am a style star because even though I like and enjoy fashion, I do not allow trends, fashion magazines or even celebrities to dictate how I dress myself. I focus on what looks good on me and my comfort when wearing it. Also, I try to look my best no matter where I am going or how I am feeling. I consider myself as a style star, because I have the gift to tweak vintage thrift clothing into modern style clothing by sewing or dressing them up. My current spring clothing are mostly thrift store purchase, and they looks so similar with the current trend because I tweak them.

English teachers have a (bad) reputation for being stodgy, frumpy dressers. Even though I teach at a private high school with a strict dress code, my students are always amazed how I inject color and fun into every outfit. Splashes of color can be found on my fingertips (I do not shy away from yellow or blue nails!) or on my legs (in the form of brightly patterned tights under a tweed skirt).

This bag would be perfect for stuffing all my materials, from white board markers to the bloody fake heart I use for Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" (in a tupperware, of course).

I am a Style Star because I can rock any piece of clothing, accessory, jewelry, you name it. Price is not an obstacle; it's a fun challenge. I have a trained eye and great taste level. I can mix and match, outfit, create, and alter when needed. Details, colors, prints, textures, lines, patterns, shape, fit, proportions... I've learned to identify them and apply them, all the while, having fun. People's great feedback and many compliments is what tells me I must be doing something right.

PS. And I really want that bag!!! (In the natural color.) I've already thought of about 5 different outfits I can work for those pictures. =)

Such a great bag for spring! I consider myself a Style Star because I trend towards the classic rather than the of-the-minute looks. I'm 26, so it's been hard to walk that line between looking like a teenager and looking like I'm forty, but I've managed! I'm a style star because my motto is: Looking good outside, makes you feel good inside! I'm a budget diva who always aims to look chic, cute and pulled together. I make sure that I have a lot of transitional pieces in my wardrobe that can multitask and take me from the office, to class on the college campus, to church or out to dinner and drinks with friends. I'll wear pieces from Walmart to Nordstroms, especially if I can get a good bargain!

I'm a Style Star because I'm known for making the most of what I got. or lack thereof!! I shop the thrift stores and discount stores (Marshalls, Tj MAXX, ROSS) and pick out classic pieces to wear with trendy accessories. I steer away from trendy clothing because I know that it may not last so I don't want to be stuck with it in my closet. But the best solution to that is swapstyle.com. A site that lets you trade unwanted clothes with people all over the USA. I've gotten some AMAZING stuff from there. FASHION rocks but you don't have to break the bank to take part in it

In the past I wasn't really a style star. I had more of a hippie bohemian look going, which I still rock sometimes...but since I discovered big buddha handbags my style has plateaued into another realm! Ok so before I even logged onto this site i totally just bought the most amazing Big Buddha bag and i'm in love! I think, no actually I am a style star because I wear my outfits loud and proud. I am happy with who I am as a person and I am happy with how I rock my clothes. I would LOVE to win another Big Buddha bag to rock it and show people how amazing it is to just be HAPPY with yourself!!

I consider myself a style star as i'm 8 months pregnant and still wanting to keep on trend with the latest fashion. As i am on maternity leave from work i can't afford to buy lots of nice clothes but i shop about and go on the internet. I am also looking at buying painer clothes and making them my own by sewing and adjusting to make the outfit individual.

I consider myself a style star because I enjoy finding new ways to wear classic pieces, adding fun trends, colors and textures!! I also try to maintain organization and not break the bank which can be hard in NYC

I am a style star because I think fashion is more than just expensive clothing & shoes. It's a way to express yourself, feel beautiful, and boost your confidence. A new pair of pointy pumps really can help you rock that presentation to your boss or pick up the cute guy at a bar.

After working in fashion in London for a summer in college, I am always on the hunt for being ahead of trends and discovering the newest funky designer. I love online window shopping for Big Buddha Bags and now i want one for myself!
