ASOS Now Charging $6 for Shipping to the US

Ladies, our prayers have been answered! ASOS, the UK's self-described online fashion store, has lowered their shipping costs to the US (thanks to reader healthytext for the tip!). When I heard the news, I emailed Ilana (my new contact at ASOS) who confirmed that "ASOS is now doing shipping (on all weight bands) for $6." So there ya have it, straight from the horse's mouth.

That's so awesome that they listened to their customer's concerns and actually made changes! Although, I'm wondering if they also lowered the shipping cost to Canada...If so, I'm going to be ordering a ton of stuff from there.

That is awesome! I am more willing to shop there now just because it shows that they actually care what their shoppers think- customer service is HUGE in my book for reasons to become a repeat buyer!!!

i actually did a mock checkout with asos the other day and one dress cost a bit less than $6 to ship. :-D not bad if you ask me. i'll certainly enjoy it.

I'm so glad. Ive actually been debating whether or not i should order some things from them. They actually carry into the plus size range, at least with their ASOS brand. Now its a go ahead!

Yeah...can you work on the Canada thing? I mean, it's the same continent but it still costs us $44USD at least!!

I purchased a pair of shoes + earrings fm asos about a year ago and shipping was $20. Ridiculous.

This makes me more willing to buy, in fact I'm browsing the site now!

im still a bit confused and unsure whether or not i should make any purchase from asos. if id like something to be shipped to New York, would there be any further or additional costs (from customs)? ive heard if its under $200, but is this true?

I am sorry to inform you but I just placed an order from ASOS and received a shipping fee from...(gasp) UPS! They never informed me I would need to pay an additional fee.
ASOS.com says their express shipping fee is $13, but it is a lie.

If ASOS had a direct customer service line or clearly indicated that they are not responsible for the charges perhaps something could be done.

Plus, I have a damaged item they refuse to deal with and I am out of over $100 for something I will never wear!
Beware of shopping on ASOS.com you can be charged in the us anywhere from 50-100USD in shipping in addition to their lovely easy "shipping fees".
Its a sad, sad joke really.
