Things We Love: Monkey Key Covers

Having recently moved into a new apartment, we can truly appreciate these playful, monkey key covers (or are they Teletubbies?) from Patinastores.com. Honestly, we now have more keys than a medieval dungeon master, and while it's always a trip trying to remember which key fits which door, the whole ordeal could be made that much easier by simply slipping one of these distinct, mischievous-looking critters onto said keys. You know what that means: a lot less fumbling, and no more monkey business. Set of 6, $4.95.

Perfect Summer Handbags: The Tote

Add some fun to your summer wardrobe with the perfect warm weather accessory: the tote. You won't be able to get away with one these bad boys in the winter, so take advantage of the flirty colors, unique textures and quirky prints that give summer totes their flair.

Show you have a sense of humor with this Jacobs by Marc Jacobs cotton canvas tote. The catch: it's only available in Marc Jacobs stores, but if you can get to one near you, you'll be rewarded by the $12 price tag.

Yummy orange and pink beach tote from Oldnavy.com let's you treat yourself for only $14.50.

We've had a soft spot for this richly colored Mexican blanket print ever since we took a trip to the Yucatan. Get the tote, on sale for $19.99, at Urbanoutfitters.com.

This vinyl tote is trendy and hip and we love the bright yellow. Keep contents simple and clean and you'll be chic carrying this full-exposure clear tote from Forever21.com, $26.80.

We're super impressed with the offerings from handbag designer Rafe for Target, and this Printed Straw Basket Bag is no exception. Scoop it up at Target.com for $39.99.

Seeing Spots

While browsing some new sites (and one not-so-new standby), we noticed polka-dots are still everywhere...but the green ones really stand out. We're not sure why, they just do. Take a gander at the following and tell us you aren't mesmerized, too:

BKE Canvas Tote, $22.00, buckle.com

Laurel Top, $17.80, forever21.com

Strawberry necklace, $10.00, shopsueyboutique.com

Things We Love: Safari Rings

We love animal prints and these safari rings from Freepeople.com are the perfect way to (what else?) show off your wild side. The best part is they're comfortable, which sounds like an odd thing to say about a ring, but we're fussy when it comes to our delicate fingers and don't appreciate clunky, scratchy, heavy or otherwise uncomfortable jewelry adorning our appendages. Plus, they're handmade which makes them worth the $24 price tag (here's hoping the talented artisans who make them get their fair share...).

Payless Teams Up with Alice + Olivia

Alice + Olivia, the designer label responsible for this love-it-or-hate-it sequined minidress, is teaming up with Payless.
There was a time when we wouldn't be caught dead in a Payless store, but times are swiftly changing. In their third designer collaboration, Payless ShoeSource says it will introduce a line of shoes designed by alice + olivia's Stacey Bendet.

Yup, they're the main perps behind those sequin mini-dresses that are all the rage these days—but we're talking cheap-n-chic shoes here, so we say bring it!!

Previously, Payless had signed up Abaete designer Laura Poretzky, Lela Rose and Patricia Field as guest designers.

This is Bendet's first-ever footwear collection, and we are super excited to check it out and see how her clothing design sensibilities transfer to shoes. The line will launch next spring and will be sold in alice + olivia boutiques as well as at Payless.

Here's the designer bio for Alice + Olivia from Shopbop.com:
Launched in 2002, Alice + Olivia was born of designer Stacey Bendet's personal quest to create the perfect pair of flattering and form-fitting pants. Her signature style was met with instant success, and "Stacey Pants" quickly became the daily staple and denim alternative for today's retro sophisticate. The brand has continued to expand its horizons launching a cashmere collection in 2003 and a full contemporary collection in 2005, turning Alice + Olivia into the go-to brand for vintage style.
