Designer Dresses You Can Rent

Ever wish you could rent a designer dress for a special occasion? Well now you can—that is, if you live in the UK, although I'm sure it's only a matter of time before something like this opens on this side of the pond.

Girl Meets Dress is the UK's new fashion equivalent of Bag, Borrow or Steal, but instead of borrowing designer bags for a fee, you can rent a designer frock.

Choose from designers such as 3.1 Phillip Lim, Marni and Tibi. Prices start from around £24 for two nights (though most cost more), and you can keep the dress for up to 7 days before you have to say bye-bye and return it.

It's nice to know such a service exists, although I would probably have absolutely no use for it. Whatsoever. Unless, maybe, I was going to make an appearance on Oprah because then, ya know, it would make for an interesting conversation starter as I segued into my budget fashion manifesto.

But what about you? Would you rent a designer dress? (And if you know of a designer dress rental in the U.S., do tell!)

It’s getting to be that time of year when once again we find ourselves slowly losing sight of those new years resolutions we made with such enthusiasm just weeks ago. If this was the year for you to find a way to stop biting your nails, or just to figure out a way for you to finally get beautiful, long and hard nails then I have just the thing for you. Pick this up the next time you go to the drugstore and not only will you have gorgeous envy-worthy nails, but lots more spare cash when you realize it eliminates the need for professional manicures.

Whats my new year's solution? Sally Hansen Miracle Cure for Severe Problem Nails. This product really works. My nails have never grown longer or stronger without breaking, peeling or bending. The product is amazing and I the compliments about my nails haven’t stopped! Not only do I think it works wonders, but so does the company; they are so confident in their product that it is guaranteed to work. Now why can’t my resolution to exercise more often come with that kind of guarantee?
