Behind the Scenes: America Living for JCPenney Video Shoot by Style Coalition

In June 2010, JCPenney invited 10 Style Coalition bloggers (including myself!) to share their favorite moments and the outfits matching them, as part of their "Made For" campaign.

The result was 10 short personal videos, featuring Jennifer Davidson & Beth Herbst/ Style Bakery, Carol Calacci/ Second City Style, Dianna Baros/ The Budget Babe, Gala Darling, Jennine Tamm/ The Coveted, Jessica Schroeder/ What I Wore, Jordana Bruner/ Clutch 22, Zephyr Basine/ College Fashion, Kat Griffin/ Corporette and Nichelle Pace/ StyleMom.

For my moment I chose "shopping at the farmer's market," something I love to do with my boyfriend on the weekends during the summer. We can bring our dog, chat with neighbors, get amazing local produce and then cook it all up afterwards!

For my look, I paired a laid-back pair of linen cargo capris by American Living with a white tee, fedora and espadrille wedge sandals. Easy, cool and totally me.

Stay tuned for the videos release during the month of July and visit JCPenney to shop the affordable pieces!

The video series are sponsored by JCPenney and produced by Style Coalition.

Ask BB: What to Wear to an Interview When A Suit Isn't Appropriate

Here's a question from the forums posted by sarasosa: "I KNOW that for the majority of interviews a suit is the way to go, but there are situations when you will be inappropriately overdressed. (Yes, this is possible!) I am interviewing for a company where the atmosphere is casual for everyone right up to the CEO. I'm afraid a buttoned up suit will give off the wrong first impression. So how do you fit in and still look professional?"

I'm a staunch advocate of the interview suit, but as sarasosa points out, there are times when a suit just isn't appropriate and wearing one to an interview might even hurt your chances of getting the job. If you've done your homework about the company and you're certain that a suit isn't the way to go, here are three alternative outfit ideas that will help you land the job:

A pencil skirt and pretty blouse strikes the perfect chord for a casual work environment interview.
