JCPenney Launches Call It Spring Accessories Collection

JCPenney just launched Call It Spring, a new accessories collection of men's and women's shoes, and handbags. The collection, which is currently available in JCPenney's Manhattan store, will expand to 100 JCPenney stores nationwide and online at JCP.com this Spring and then to an additional 500 stores in the Fall. To get people buzzing, JCPenney is offering an exclusive online presale at JCP.com, where you can check out the latest Spring looks and pre-order dozens of styles. I think the collection is sort of hit or miss (a few of my favorite "hits" are above). Since Call It Spring is an Aldo Group Brand, I expected more high-street flavor but I suppose that was my mistake. What do you think?

Supereasy DIY: Picture Frame Necklace Holder

This weekend while catching up with some of my favorite fashion magazines, I found a supereasy idea for a DIY necklace holder in the March 2011 People StyleWatch on page 246. Using items I already had at home, I whipped together a foolproof necklace holder that's elegant, saves space and cost me nothing! Keep reading for easy step-by-step instructions.

Celebrity fans of the 'Maniac' nude pump include Kelly Ripa and Mila Kunis.

I feature a lot of nude pumps on this blog but the best "knockoff" I've seen of the Brian Atwood 'Maniac' is the Steve Madden 'Russhh,' available at Steve Madden for $89.95. Click the image for details.

Fans of Brian Atwood will be thrilled by the news that the shoe designer's lower priced line, B Brian Atwood, was unveiled at his New York showroom earlier this month and will be available at stores like Shopbop.com soon.

BB's Best Dressed: 83rd Annual Academy Awards

Cate Blanchett in Givenchy gets my vote for best dressed at the 2011 Oscars. For any other actress, her dress would have been a major risk but somehow Cate pulls it off with ease. I love the colors, the fit and the exquisite detailing.

Joining Cate in my top six would have to be Mila Kunis who looked stunning in lilac Elie Saab and golden Gwyneth Paltrow for her choice of a sleek, shiny Calvin Klein. Best Actress winner Natalie Portman looked radiant in Rodarte while Scarlett Johansson's bordeaux lace dress grew on me as the night wore on. Mandy Moore made my cut for her romantic Monique Lhuilier gown which I saw in person on the Spring 2011 runway, so I'm a little biased.

Other standouts for me included the gorgeous Halle Berry in Marchesa, Michelle Williams in Chanel, Helen Mirren in Vivienne Westwood, Penelope Cruz in L'Wren Scott and Hailee Steinfeld in Marchesa. Host Anne Hathaway looked lovely throughout the evening, especially in her red Valentino gown.
