What I Wore: National Wear Red Day

Today is National Wear Red Day, an effort to raise awareness of women and heart disease, so I put on my red skinny jeans and a cozy sweater and set out to snap this photo to show my support. If you're heading out tonight, consider slipping on some red heels or grabbing your favorite red clutch to send your own stylish message.

What to wear: National Wear Red Day

Next week I'll be attending The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection Fashion Show in New York City as a Diet Coke® Heartbeat Reporter, so stay tuned for coverage!

pureDKNY Fragrance Helps Lift Women Out of Poverty

A cool new video from pureDKNY fragrance shows how the making of this beautiful fragrance is helping women in Africa combat poverty. Model and spokesperson Angela Lindvall introduces you to some of the amazing women in Uganda who grow pureDKNY's signature ingredients, such as vanilla beans, and how this unique crop helps lift families out of poverty. I've seen the ads for pureDKNY and was curious to learn more, it seems fascinating and I'd think you'd be happily reminded of the women farmers each time you dabbed on your perfume in the morning. Watch Angela's journey in the short video above, and visit DKNY Fragrances on Facebook for more info.

Diane Von Furstenberg Collaborates on a Line of Brazilian 'Wish Bracelets'

Here's a new addition for your arm party that can bring you good luck in addition to great style: The Brazilet. According to a 200-year-old tradition from Bahia, Brazil, the Brazilet is wrapped around the wrist and tied in three knots. Make a wish with each knot, and when the bracelet naturally breaks down and falls off, your three wishes will come true. Hey, for just $5 each, it can't hurt to try! And it can certainly help other good causes - Diane Von Furstenberg has teamed up to create a special line of Brazilets with phrases like "Love is life" and "Be the woman you want to be" with 20% of all proceeds going towards 'Plant a Billion Trees' which benefits the Brazilian rainforest. Celebrities like Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson, Kristen Stewart, and Lauren Conrad are already fans of the Brazilet brand. Buy your DVF Brazilets for $5 at liveworldly.com or Diane Von Furstenberg stores.
