Here are some photos I snapped at the Chris Benz Fall 2012 collection presentation, one of the highlights of fashion week for the simple fact that you never know what you're getting to see by this wildly imaginative designer. With Big Band tunes booming in the background, models decked out in '60s era party frocks stood against a gold sequin backdrop and smiled for the boisterous crowd and enthusiastic photographers. The fashion mash-up revolved around Christmas colors like red and green, lots of shine, girly patent leather pumps and quirky accessories like little hats and vintage-style jewels. Beauty was equally bold - think shimmering blue eye-shadow and teased wigs. Yes, it was a spectacle, but everything was also really wearable if you were to break it down. Everything, that is, but some split-finger gloves which were admittedly, kinda disturbing. What do you think of the collection? It makes you smile, no?
