Yesterday evening, Rent the Runway presented their curated collection inspired by MAGNUM Gold?!, featuring a range of golden dresses and gowns. The collection features an exclusive ready-to-wear version of Zac Posen's one-of-a-kind 24 carat gold couture gown inspired by MAGNUM Gold?!, a golden ice cream bar featuring vanilla bean ice cream, sea salt caramel and dipped in a golden coating made with Belgian milk chocolate. And yes, they are as delicious as they sound!
Posen's original gown is covered in over ten thousand gold pailletes, hand created from sheets of 24 carat gold, and is valued at $1.5 million. The ready-to-wear version retails for $2,990, but can be rented for $350.
As always, Rent the Runway is giving their customers the opportunity to wear fabulous pieces without completely breaking the bank; their rental prices are only a fraction of the retail costs. Designers available for rental include Badgley Mischka, Diane Von Furstenberg, Herve Leger, Haute Hippie, Erin Fetherston, Trina Turk and many more. Amazing jewelry from designers like Oscar De La Renta and Aleixs Bittar are also available for rental. The collection is available at RentTheRunway.com on June 6th. —VWS
