Fashion Blogger Kendi Everyday's Spring Pastel Look for Less

Kendi Everyday's spring pastel look for less

When it comes to spring style inspiration, fashion blogger Kendi Everyday has one of my favorite looks of the season: Her floral blouse and pink coat ensemble is both feminine and chic, and represents the perfect way to wear pastels without looking overly delicate. While Kendi's style is totally attainable and wearable - and she often suggests budget looks for pieces that are more of an investment - the look shown above costs $775 (not including the jewelry and sunglasses). I set out to see if I could put something similar together for myself and managed to get the look for $$201.02. You can shop Kendi's exact items on her website here.

The Look for Less: Madewell Denim Vest, Linen Tee & Ikat Track Pants

Easy Madewell spring look for less

For easy spring style inspiration, I'm loving many of the casual yet put-together looks by Madewell found on Nordstrom.com (which just recently started carrying this popular line). The boho-inspired look above would cost you $325 without the accessories. (You can visit this page to shop the original items.) My entire look for less is just over $100 including the chevron stud earrings and scarf! Here we come, spring.

Shop the Madewell spring look for less:
Sandals $19.90 / Pants $13.90 / Vest $40 / Scarf $9.80 (I also love this tassel scarf by Merona) / T-Shirt $9.95 / Chevron Stud Earrings $20

Spot the Real: Carmen Marc Valvo Dresses

Spot the Real: Can you guess which dress costs the most?

Earlier I shared my review of the new Dressbar at Dressbarn, a curated assortment of dresses featuring exclusive collections by designers known for their dresses - including the amazing Carmen Marc Valvo. So for this fashion taste test, I thought I'd mix up some dresses from Carmen Marc Valvo's eponymous line as well as some from his new budget-friendly collab with Dressbarn. I've cropped out the shoes and lips to make things a bit trickier for you savvy gals! (Have you noticed that models never smile in designer clothes, but almost always smile when they're modeling affordable fashion? It's a dead giveaway!)

The four dresses above range from $58 to $595. See if you can guess which dress costs most by clicking a link below!

Dressing Room Review: The New DressBar at Dress Barn

Dressbarn now carries cute dresses by top designers! All under $100, many under $50. Gotta remember this for my next wedding!

Yesterday I headed to Dressbarn to check out a new concept they're calling Dressbar. It's a kind of shop-within-a-shop where the cheap-chic dress retailer can highlight certain frocks, including designer collections created exclusively for Dressbarn: LUXE by Carmen Marc Valvo, MiXT by Heidi Weisel, Lovely by Adrianna Papell, and dbRSVP by the db Fashion Studio. Each of these designers' names are synonymous with dresses, so I was excited to see what they had designed for the budget-savvy Dressbarn shopper. Keep reading to see what I tried on, what worked and what didn't!
