Spot the Real: Steve Madden 'Daisey' Bow Sandal

Can you guess which sandals cost more?
Thanks to a tip from alert reader and fellow blogger Niki at Cheapalicious, I discovered a great Steve Madden look for less - the two pairs are nearly identical! Except, that is, for the price. The "real" is $45 at shoes.com (or $25 at Marshalls, see this post for an in-store photo) while the look for less is $19.99 (plus 30% off with code MEM30). And it comes in black, tan or white (see my in-store pic here). I love this style for hot summer days because you don't have to sacrifice style for comfort. Now let's see if you can guess which sandal costs more - click a link below to find out!

Spot the Real: Gypsy 05 Pom Pom Short

Pom pom shorts: Can you spot the expensive pair?
Pom pom shorts keep popping up in my Pinterest feed and there's something so irresistible about this adorable trim on printed shorts for summer. Even the word "pom pom" is fun to say (go ahead, try it!) And of course everyone was buzzing about the pom pom shorts in the sold-out Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection (get them on eBay). Fortunately there are plenty of other options out there, from Gypsy 05's $105 pair at Revolve Clothing, to the "look for less" I spotted for $39.90. Can you guess which pair above costs more? Spot the Real: DV by Dolce Vita 'Gibsin' Perforated Sneakers

Can you spot the real Gibsin sneakers?

In my Gap post yesterday, I asked where can you get genuine leather sneakers for under $50 - and well, I just answered my own question last night when I stumbled upon the DV by Dolce Vita 'Gibsin' leather sneaker on Rue La La, on sale for just $39.99. Granted, this popular shoe was already sold out by the time I scoped the sale at 11pm, but a quick search around the web revealed you can get these sneakers elsewhere for the same price or lower (Amazon.com has the most colors/sizes available - the mint is just $23!). From the Rue La La sale, I snagged these leopard ones using store credits, and am contemplating getting the 'Orra' slide, too (it's $36 versus $60 at Nordstrom).

The moral of the story? You can get the real 'Gibsin' for less if you just shop around. Having said that, this shoe has a budget-friendly doppelgänger that's just $24.99 in black or off-white, the outsole crafted from leather and thermoplastic rubber (whatever that means). See if you can spot the real from the steal by clicking either link below!

UPDATE: Thanks to Deb in the comments for pointing out that the 'Gibsin' is not real leather but manmade materials. Sorry guys!

Spot the Real: Valentino 'Rockstud' Ballerina Flats

Can you spot the real Valentino Rockstud ballerina flats?

You can't blame me for featuring yet another Valentino Rockstud lookalike, especially since you'll need these flats in addition to the heels we featured last week when your outfit calls for something more demure (or your feet just need a break!). The look for less is available in both turquoise blue - perfect for spring and summer - or ivory and sells for $59.95. The "real" costs $729 at Farfetch.com. I think you ladies know which one's which but click a link below to find out for sure!

Spot the Real: Isabel Marant 'Holden' Sandals

Can you spot the real Isabel Marant 'Holden' crisscross flat sandals?

Slowly but surely, the normcore "ugly" shoe trend is winning me over. I'm already wearing slim joggers, so what else do I have to lose? With a simple crisscross sandal like Isabel Marant's "Holden," I'd get comfort and instant fashion cred. Of course I'm not about to spend $495 on a glorified flip flop which is why I'm loving the $34 look for less I spotted elsewhere. Can you guess which is the real and which is the steal?
