Fall Fashion Highlights at Old Navy Include Plaid Pants, Grey Boots and Leopard Scarves

Old Navy fall fashion highlights
This week I did a little recon at Old Navy and found some solid pieces to share with all of you, including the elusive grey flat boot - a true grey, not greige or taupe for all of you who've been on the hunt - plus must-have accessories like leopard print scarves (just $8 online, wear with everything!) and work-to-weekend plaid ankle pants. So chic this time of year. I was also loving a plaid trapezoid bag (similar) but think I'd wait for a sale. The leopard ankle boots I ordered online are now in my store (argh!) and I'm not going to lie, they look kinda cheap close-up but from a distance, they'll do. Just make sure you get them on sale. And don't miss Old Navy's ponchos - these have finished edges and arm holes, an upgrade from the ones I bought at Walmart, so they cost a little more. Finally, Old Navy has lots of cute plaid shirts. You can never have to many! From trips to the apple orchard to the pumpkin patch to fall festivals, these are the easy-to-wear styles you'll want to stock up on.

Here's how to stretch your favorite summer maxi dress or skirt into fall, according to trendsetter Alexa Chung: Just add a chunky knit sweater and your favorite sneaks (or boots) and you'll have a cozy-cool look to transition into those cooler temps. Athletic shoes are having a huge moment, so you'll definitely get a lot of wear out of your classic Converse. Pick up a new pair in a fall hue like dark green (shown here), burnt umber or chili paste red. We're obsessed with Alexa's on-trend suede handbag, and think the Zara bag we found is an excellent budget substitute. Get the rest of her look for less after the jump...
