I love using nature as inspiration for my fall fashion choices. Deep rich colors like burgundy and gold - paired with knits, denim and suedes - are my everyday go-to. This look from Nicole Richie circa 2013 definitely channels a similar aesthetic and when paired with shorts it's perfect for those lingering warm days. Nicole paired a gold crewneck sweater, black frayed shorts, a navy floral scarf and flat ankle booties. For accessories she kept it simple with a leather shoulder bag, braided belt, cat eye sunglasses and oversized diamond studs. Over the weekend I went to Kohl's to pick out pieces for my back-to-school post series (here and here), and one of the looks I put together in the dressing room - but didn't actually end up shooting for the blog - was this chambray shirt and camo jogger combination. With the first day of Fall just around the corner, I knew I wanted to style a look featuring something cozy and warm for my second back-to-school outfit with Kohl's. This season I'm seeing sweater vests everywhere, and I was beyond excited to find the trend going strong at my Kohl's store -- I immediately tried on this Mudd Colorblock Long Vest and fell in love. It's so soft and feels like you're wrapping yourself up in a blanket! But, it's actually a lot easier to wear than say, a poncho or blanket scarf. In head-to-toe designer, Riri wore an oversized sweatshirt from her European Anti-Tour merchandise (some similar pieces available here), black joggers and sneakers, and an embroidered baseball cap.
