The Garden Collection by H&M Lookbook

The Garden Collection by H&M Lookbook

Just a friendly reminder that The Garden Collection by H&M, the company's first fully-sustainable line, officially launches tomorrow March 25 in H&M stores nationwide. Coinciding with Earth Day initiatives, this is H&M's first collection made entirely from environmentally adapted materials (including organic cotton, organic linen and recycled polyester), and is made up of 80 items and 10 accessories all under $60. Amazing! I'm definitely going to check it out tomorrow, hopefully I can score the red rose dress and a couple other pieces. More eye candy after the jump where you'll find the complete lookbook! Enjoy…

I actually already tried on everything and bought just the last dress. The pieces look well made and are cute, but the sizing is off and the fabrics smell really...odd. I think it's a commendable first try for H&M but not the best collection I've seen yet.

The smell could have been picked up during transport or from some musky storage facility. I've noticed damp odors coming from clothes at some of my favorite stores (cough, Forever 21). Doesn't stop me from buying, but I have wondered...why the funky smell?

The white embellished dress looks super cute. I was confused though because my store already has the Garden COllection in but I think it's just their regular spring collection separate from this organic collection.

I'm obsessed with that Kimono Like Print Dress and the Strapless Rose One...Let's hope they have it at my H&M! XOX

I totally want to go hunt down that white dress. I'm looking for something for my rehearsal dinner and almost bought a $60 French Connection dress at Loehmann's. A $20 option sounds much better.

I agree with everyone about that white dress! I also might consider one of the tunics as a light weight summer option.... tough considering it makes that super skinny model look big, it might not work out. we'll see, I'll have to hit up H&M this weekend.

Stuff actually looks cute and comfy at the same time.

I actually went to all H&Ms on 5th avenue here in NYC. Everything is beautiful but didn't buy anything. Why? My favorite, the white dress, was sold out in all stores. Second favorite, the kimono dress (last one), did not fit my bust. It looks incredible but there was something very strange in the was it's cut. All the other pieces have been either sold out or we not in my size. But it is definitely a very cute collection. I didn't smell anything though. But I guess it has been successful. I like it.

These are actually really pretty pieces! I'll have to check the H&M's in my area to see if they have this line in stores.

I'm super sad that we dont have an H&M anywhere remotely close to here. I've been coveting that big pocket dress & floral skirt ever since I saw this collection months and months ago!

I am mad for florals right now, so this is right up my alley!

I adore the second to last dress, and the eyelet tunic. Very pretty, feminine line.

It's not fair!! I love all of their clothes and I don't have a store in New Orleans!!! The closest one is in like Georgia. UGH!!!

Seriously want to head into the store right now and try all of that on. LOVE The last dress. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Can I please wear all of that all summer long? Now my MN weather just needs to catch up with the cute spring clothes.

Went to the Mall of America Store - everything was still in stock but going fast. I bought the kimono dress - which fit my smallish (32C) bust fine with a push-up bra. I could see how it wouldn't fit if you had a large chest.

The 2nd to last dress just looked like a shapeless tent on me. It would need to be belted... The red dress wasn't left in anything around my size, so didn't even get to try it on. cute though.

also got the floppy hat - $10 can't go wrong there.

ARG! Read this WAY too late. I actually would have driven downtown today to buy that second to last dress but now I'm afraid they would all be sold out.

Oh yeah. And I have no money...but these are so cheeeeeap!!

The second dress is my favorite. I love H&M!

These are surprisingly nice looking and well priced. Too bad there's not an H&M anywhere near here. I really like the 4th dress down

the red dress is what cought my eye too. I guess there is some spring shopping in my very near future, and since the prices are crazy low, I can co a bit crazy :-)

This post inspired me to take a look at my local H&M, which I had all but given up on. I LOVE this collection, and I ended up buying two dresses and an embellished tank top. Nothing I bought was actually featured in this post, but I was looking for gray items, which I always love and can incorporate into my wardrobe, and blush pink for the season. They had so much beautiful stuff in these colors. Hurray!

I really loved the collection. I was one of those people at the store at 9AM. I had to get my hands on the eco-friendly silk anorak, which fits and feels amazing. I also bought one of the floral tops and the blue dress jumper, although I may take the jumper back. Overall the clothes were very nicely made and yes the material was forgiving, which is a good thing for curvy girls like me.

I checked out the collection at the Boston store yesterday--they seemed to still have everything in stock. The red dress w/the floral appliques (which also comes in cream) is the only piece that, to me, looked luxe. The white cotton tunic w/embroidery is cute (and for less than $10 is even cheaper than such a Mexican-inspired piece would be in the mercado in Mexico!), and has a higher-quality look to it, too.

But the rest of the stuff looks like typical H&M pieces--i.e., cute and works for a quick fashion fix when you are on a budget, but doesn't hold up past the season. Which has a place/serves a purpose, but personally, I would rather pay more for something that will last longer.

Anyway, if you are near Boston, and want some of these pieces, check out the downtown Xing store!

I bought the floral dress with the large pockets today. I'm planning to wear it with my new oxfords for graduation. I also bought the white tunic with stitched florals without trying it on because it was about $10. However, I think I will return it because the elastic on the sleeves is too tight.

also, some of the dresses (including the floral dress with the large pockets) are very thin and need to be worn with a slip underneath
