Madonna Talks about Material Girl for Macy's, Plus More Photos!

Earlier I posted some sketches, now we have behind-the-scenes footage and more images of Madonna for Material Girl, the new fashion collection she designed with her daughter Lourdes.

Madonna commented, "Lola's influences, you know, watching films, watching music videos—she pays attention to what's going on in the street and what people are wearing, and she's much more fashion forward and savvy than I am at this point!"

Available exclusively at Macy's stores and macys.com on August 3rd, The Material Girl collection will include apparel, footwear, handbags, jewelry and hair accessories, with most items retailing between $12 and $40; a a crinoline dress with a built-in-bustier will sell for $80.

Visit www.macys.com/materialgirl or the “Material Girl” Facebook and Twitter pages for more info, along with Lola's blog on what's hot in fashion and a sweepstakes for a chance to meet Madonna at Macy's Herald Square in September.

i find this weird bc madonna has not embraced the 80s in years. she ignores the music that made her who she is today. i went to her concert last year and remixed all the old music she sang and i think she only sang 2 oldies. it saddens me bc she didn't want to please her fans. most of her fans, i say 80% were the older generation that likes her older music. so her launching a line for the 80s is confusing...

anyways, thanks for sharing this!

If you want to help out some great causes (at no cost to you) while shopping at Macys.com, visit http://cafegive.com. Just choose your favorite cause and go to the "shop" section. A percentage of your purchase goes to the non-profit you chose. Check it out if you're planning to buy from the Material Girl line. I'm sure Lola and mama would approve!
