Anthropologie is Launching A Wedding Brand on Valentine's Day

This February 14th will not only mark Valentine's Day, but the debut of an online bridal boutique from the creative geniuses behind Anthropologie called BHLDN, the sixth brand in the Urban Outfitters, Inc. family.

Pronounced "Beholden," inspired by the Dutch word for "to keep," BHLDN will bring together a curated collection of heirloom quality wedding gowns, bridesmaid frocks, party dresses, assorted jewelry, headpieces, footwear, and lingerie from in-house designers, as well as established and up-and-coming guest designers.

Retail price of the brand range from $1,000 to $4,000 for gowns and $200 - $600 for cocktail dresses. The first store is expected to open its doors in the second half of the year.

Fan BHLDN on Facebook, follow BHLDN on Twitter and sign up for their mailing list to get the latest updates - I know I will!

What creative designs! Love the 3rd one but the 1st dress reminds me of the scales on a fish.. I don't know why, I guess I'm just weird :/

I'm not a huge fan of wedding dresses...something about them seems really...pretentious? Most of them are also ostentatious - layers and tulle and beads and bleh. I also dread wearing white - I'm really awkward and it seems like an incipient catastrophe (despite the 12 odd years of ballet, including pointe, haha). With that said, the ribboned silk dress is absolutely gorgeous. I have never felt weddinq fever before but that dress is positively infectious. The other dresses are really pretty as well, I'd love to see a wedding with a bride wearing one of them.

am I the only one who thinks this is pretty ridiculous? Anthropologie is so ridiculously overpriced and the clothes looks like some cheap shit you'd find at a flea market. Why would I pay $1-4k for a dress from them when I could find a designer dress for about the same price?
