LOFT recently sent me a giftcard to shop their latest summer styles, so I picked up this amazing army green crossover shirtdress for just $24 (down from $69). It was on sale at my nearest LOFT store plus an extra 50% off the sale price, and 15% off for opening a LOFT card (I had been on the fence for a while and finally caved, you guys are always telling me about the amazing deals you get as a cardmember, so now I'm in the club!).

I bought it because I love anything remotely military inspired, plus it's made from 100% cotton - perfect for staying cool in the summer. It took me through a long, hot, activity-packed day in style and comfort, from a rowdy excursion to the park with my 6 year old nephew (which involved monkey bars and a game of hide-and-go-seek) to a BBQ birthday party for my mom.
It's a good length, it has pockets (yay!), you can wear a regular bra with it, and you can dress it up or down with flats or wedges (like these espadrilles). It also travels well - I was worried about wrinkles but I just rolled it up in my suitcase and it was fine. Later, I misted it with some water to smooth out some wrinkles and it looked good as new.
