Hunter Boots at Target 'Delayed' + Style Finds Under $40

Style Finds Under $40 - now this is a budget fashion blog for real!

So Hunter for Target launched at some point last night. Little miss woke me up at 3 am and I'm so glad she did because I was able to snag two pairs of rainboots for my boys (didn't get her any because it will be a while before she's actually wearing rainboots). Unfortunately I didn't get the boots that I, and the rest of the world, really wanted: The women's tall classic wellies. Because according to Target, their arrival has been "delayed."

COME AGAIN?!

This has publicity stunt written all over it.

Of course if you didn't shop online in the wee hours of the night you can head to your store to see what's left. Or just shop genuine Hunter boots on sale at Nordstrom Rack, Nordstrom or Shopbop (use code EVENT18).

What do you think of Target's snafu?

Now for our weekly links...

I had a good laugh reading this article about LulaRoe legging fails. Those prints can get dicey! Get the LuluRoe look for less with these $5.94 leggings.

This shoe is a good dupe for the popular Free People 'Mont Blanc' flat at about half the price.

Calling all Rouge members! The Sephora Spring Bonus Event is on. Not an insider? (It's okay, neither am I.) Sign up here.

Sydne Style is sharing her favorite raincoats for spring.

College Fashion rounds up 10 spring dresses under $30.

This might just be the perfect round straw bag for spring and summer.

Enjoy the weekend and let me know what you buy from Hunter! xoBB

The Hunter Boots being "delayed" seems like hype gone wrong. I'm calling bait and switch in my blog post on The Recessionista.

I think you’re right. So strange though! The outdoor gear will likely end up on clearance.

I can forgive the boot bait and switch if Target also restocks some of the more popular Hunter items that have already sold out.

Not a bad idea!

Thanks for posting that teal bathing suit, Dianna! When I clicked I thought for sure it was a Free People or something along those lines, imagine my surprise when I saw that it was $20 at Wal-Mart! And you know my Wal-Mart happened to have it in stock, and we were going for gardening supplies anyway... so it came home with me. The quality was WELL above what I expected. It looks and feels expensive. I'm a 34G so I need A LOT of support, the way the back of this suit is designed, it delivers. I usually bounce between a Large and a Medium because I'm top heavy, and a Medium was the right choice in this suit. Thank you so much for posting this suit!!!

I am so happy to hear this! I had not seen this particular suit in my store but it looked so great online that I had to share it. This made my day! Thanks for sharing details on the fit and sizing, too. Woohoo!!

All of the Wellington boots I've owned [the tall rain boots] were sweaty and blister-provoking because the rubber has no 'give'. They look great on, but you don't want to walk very far in them.

They are rather clunky! But I wear mine for lots of muddy, mucky adventures ;-)

I LOVE that wicker bag. I have a J Crew wicker clutch, trying to decide if I would get enough wear out of the crossbody to justify buying it. Enjoy the pink! Congrats again on your sweet baby girl!
