I have some exciting news to share with you today - The Budget Babe is officially adding a talented roster of contributing writers to the blog! When I put the word out that I was looking for interns/writers, the response I received was overwhelming, and I'm honored to have such enthusiastic "budget babes" joining the team.

My goal is to bring you even more great budget-friendly content while giving other up-and-coming writers a chance to share their passion and their voice with a wider audience. This was how I envisioned TheBudgetBabe.com back in 2007 when I first started blogging, but as the saying goes, time flies when you're having fun and I just never got around to it - until now.

Please give these ladies a warm welcome and feel free to share your feedback in the comments. And to my readers both old and new, thank you for your support. I promise not to change the essence of TBB, just make it better. —BB

This morning I caught Lucky magazine's lovely editor-in-chief Eva Chen sharing some of the top fall fashion trends on the Today Show. For fall, Eva has her eye on oversized sweaters, patchwork jeans, full skirts and autumn pastels. I can work with that!

If you don't already follow Eva on Instagram (evachen212) and Twitter (@evachen212) - you should! This poised former Teen Vogue editor embraced digital media early on when many of her peers did not. I think it's her understanding of social media that makes Eva stand out within the industry and has certainly made her "one to follow." She's also smart, gracious to fans and has a to-die-for closet.

What fall trends are you most looking forward to?

As part of Forever 21's back to school campaign called "Declare Your Style," the fast-fashion brand is serving up a cool deal called Threebies: Each week for three consecutive weeks, Forever 21 is offering one outfit comprised of select items at an extraordinary price. This week's items include plaid leggings ($5), a faux leather bomber jacket ($18), and loafers ($15), meaning you can pick up a complete fall look for just $38. This evening, Target hosted a preview of the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection, which was absolutely breathtaking. When I look into my crystal ball I see crowds gathering outside of Targets nationwide before the collection launches on September 15 and buying every piece in minutes. There will be grabbing, pushing and maybe even a little crying.

The collection delivered more than I could have possibly imagined with a huge selection of amazing bags and fabulous separates for both women and men. The clothes were beautiful; each piece was more fantastic than the next. There were dresses and tops, pants, skirts and intimates. This collection gives a nod to 3.1 Phillip Lim fan favorites like the Pashli handbag and Ka-Pow pullover and gives the masses access to Lim's highly coveted designs.

I look forward to adding several of these pieces to my wardrobe and will definitely be setting alarms and reminders for the release of this collection.
