Spot the Real: Oscar de la Renta Gingham Skirt

Can you guess which gingham skirt costs $1,290?

I can't recall a spring season that didn't involve at least a little gingham, that classic check print which always brings to mind sunny picnics and garden parties. For spring 2015 we saw gingham on the runways of Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors and Altuzarra, to name a few. One way to rock the trend for work or play is with a gingham pencil skirt. Oscar de la Renta's costs $1,290 at Net-a-porter.com, but I found a great look for less for us Budget Babes that's just $33. If you follow me on Facebook, then you may have already seen the look for less! If not, try to guess which skirt costs more by clicking a link below...

Fashion Blogger Kendi Everyday's Spring Pastel Look for Less

Kendi Everyday's spring pastel look for less

When it comes to spring style inspiration, fashion blogger Kendi Everyday has one of my favorite looks of the season: Her floral blouse and pink coat ensemble is both feminine and chic, and represents the perfect way to wear pastels without looking overly delicate. While Kendi's style is totally attainable and wearable - and she often suggests budget looks for pieces that are more of an investment - the look shown above costs $775 (not including the jewelry and sunglasses). I set out to see if I could put something similar together for myself and managed to get the look for $$201.02. You can shop Kendi's exact items on her website here.

Spot the Real: Nomia White Tunic Top

Can you guess which white tunic top costs more?

There's something refreshingly minimal about a white tunic top, especially for spring. But there's nothing "minimal" about the designer pricetag on one of the tops above - it's $360 at Ssense.com. The look for less, on the other hand, will give you that monastic vibe for just $80 (less if you wait for a sale!) Can you guess which top costs more? Click a link below to find out!

Spot the Real: Moscow Mule Copper Mug

Can you guess which copper mug costs more?

So apparently there's a Moscow Mule craze going on - it's all over Pinterest, food blogs, you name it - and maybe I'm late to the party, but I've found a great Moscow Mule copper mug for you to use when you whip up this alliterative cocktail! One of the mugs shown above is by a brand called 10 Strawberry Street and retails for $24. The other is by Threshold at Target and costs just $9.99. Think you can guess which mug costs more? Click a link to find out! Or, just scroll down to see a photo of the "look for less" in real life (snapped at Target).

P.S. While researching this post, I discovered that you can buy a set of the "real" mug by 10 Strawberry Street for just $38 at Target.com (so that's $19 per mug, versus $24 for one mug at Nordstrom.com). Options = winning!
