Dollar Bin Diaries: Mid-March Highlights at Target

Target goodies in store now

Another trip to Target, more great dollar bin finds! This time, I spotted some leftovers for Easter and St. Patrick's Day (especially fun if you have kids), but for my photos, I focused on the cute stationary and office supplies to freshen up your space for spring - pretty thank you cards in navy, white, coral, and pink; mechanical pencils; mini notebooks; and chevron file folders. I also snapped a few pics of some of the new fashions, including a boxy textured striped top by Merona and some pretty pastels by Mossimo. Finally, there's a striped duffel bag ($34.99) that reminded me of the one by Kate Spade Saturday that I saw at T.J.Maxx. So what did I buy? A mint/white chevron file folder, This Peter Pilotto skirt on clearance and this Threshold apothecary cabinet, also on clearance. All in all a very productive trip, with baby in tow no less!

Joe Fresh for JCP Spring 2014 Lookbook

Joe Fresh at JCPenney Spring 2014 Look Book Images

JCPenney has been in the news lately for good reasons for a change: The company's shares are up 70% since Feb. 4 and there are other signs that the big box retailer is finally making a slow recovery. They've got a new campaign "When it fits, you feel it" which you may have seen debut during the Oscars - and it seems to be resonating with customers. All this made me remember that I had yet to post the Joe Fresh spring 2014 lookbook showcasing some of the latest spring trend pieces available now. This is one of my favorite lines to be picked up by JCP because the pieces are modern yet classic and super affordable. Highlights include a nautical striped sheath dress ($29), print slim-fit pants ($39), and coral trench ($49), to name a few. Click on over to JCPENNEY.COM to see the entire collection, plus plenty of winter pieces on clearance and other spring items already on sale.

H&M Unveils $99 Wedding Gown

H&M's $99 wedding gown

H&M is launching a budget-friendly bridal line later this month, including a $99 gown which was unveiled this morning on Today. I happened to catch the segment and immediately hit pause so I could snap a photo of the dress and tweet the exciting news! The floor-length dress is made from sustainable materials and features a fitted waist and beaded neckline, making it a cheap-chic choice for other special occasions, too (prom, maybe?). It will be available March 27th in select stores and online at HM.COM.
