LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's Fall 2010 Lookbook

Thanks to Kohl's, we have a first look at the LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls Fall 2010 collection created by reality star turned fashion designer/author Lauren Conrad. This fall we're seeing lots of feminine touches like ruffles, floral prints, flouncy skirts, and lace, but nothing is too sweet. Rather, the girly vibe is casual yet sophisticated, and decidedly California-chic, expressed by relaxed silhouettes, sexy leggings and a subdued color palette. Prices range from $34 for a ruffle-tiered chiffon tank top; $50 for a lace-back cardigan to $70 for a motorcycle jacket. I'm loving the ruffle sweater (photo with the balloons) for $50, the super-versatile knit boyfriend blazer ($60) and side-swept dress ($60) with lace jacket ($72). If you're new to Kohls, don't worry if the prices seem high, things always go on sale with steep discounts. Look for pieces from the LC Lauren Conrad Fall 2010 line to hit stores beginning in August, more pieces being released in September. Click through to see all the looks, which do you love?

The Look for Less: John Derian Moroccan Leather Pouf Ottoman

John Derian's metallic Moroccan pouf costs $325; solid colors cost $285. These colorful handmade poufs can function as a seat, ottoman or mini-coffee table, and look equally chic in a variety of decorating schemes, from subtle and sophisticated (above)…

…to global glam…

…to posh resort. Looks like paradise to me!

If you love this look, you can save a couple bucks with this Moroccan Leather Pouf Ottoman in Gold Metallic for $265 at amazon.com.

To get this look for even less, head to HSN.com where you'll find this gold Moroccan pouf for $99.95 by designer Nate Berkus (who you might know as Oprah's cutie-pie decorator and shoe designer Brian Atwood's boyfriend). I love this find, but if anyone knows of a place to get a pouf for even less, please let me know in the comments!

Off the Rack: Sam Edelman, Dolce Vita, Kelsi Dagger and More at Marshalls Shoe Megashop

This morning I popped into my local Marshalls Shoe Megashop to look for some wedges for an outdoor wedding and got totally distracted by all the fabulous, totally impractical heels instead. Highly sought-after designers like Sam Edelmen, Kelsi Dagger, BCBGeneration, and Boutique 9 all caught my eye. I stuck to my mission but was seriously tempted to buy embellished gladiator flat sandals by Sam Edelmen, red tag clearance price of just $44, and some cool Dolce Vita t-strap sandals, just $29. That's less than DV for Target! Now's the time to buy summer shoes on clearance and save them for next season. I have enough sandals so I resisted but I'll be back for Fall boots and flats.
