Deal du Jour at Gilt.com: Melissa Shoes

There are still many styles left of Melissa Shoes on sale now at Gilt.com, including retro cool wedges (shown above, $49) and Vivienne Westwood rain boots ($89). The savings are definitely legit. For example, the Campana Corallo Jelly Flats are $39 at Gilt.com versus $79 at Nordstrom.com. If you like this brand, now's the time to buy them. My sister has a pair and says they are comfortable and don't make her feet sweat. I've never tried them so I can't comment!

About the brand: Brazilian brand Melissa has made its mark on the ubiquitous plastic jelly shoe over the last 30 years, selling variations on the original design in the most exclusive boutiques around the world and collaborating with luminary designers and architects - Vivienne Westwood and Zaha Hadid amongst others. The company, which aims to manufacture according to high environmental standards, is also renowned in its native Sao Paolo for creating a book on sustainable practices in design – the first of its kind to be published in Brazil.

My New Stacked Crystal Lamp from Target

Budget Decor: My New Stacked Crystal Lamp from Target

The hunt for a stacked crystal ball lamp ended today! I finally found one at Target (recommended by some readers) and I loved it. It's not as luxe as the Pottery Barn one, and I never did see the one at JCPenney, but for $35.99, I think it's exactly what my desk needed! It's the perfect size and I love how the balls go from big to small. In the store I was afraid it looked too plastic-y, but at home, it looks fantastic! Thanks again to everyone for sharing your feedback. Depending on what you're looking for, I think both Target and JCPenney offer great versions of this classic style lamp that will add a chic touch to your home.

New Site Spotlight: One Kings Lane

Eco-friendly, durable and grown pesticide-free, this handsome hemp doggie bed by Harry Barker has earned its stripes. ($59-$79 at onekingslane.com)

In this month's issue of All You magazine, I discovered a home decor site that offers limited-time only sales on designer goodies called One King's Lane. It's like Gilt or Rue La La for the home! Today's sale on Harry Barker dog beds might be when I make my first purchase. I've learned from experience that it's better to buy a quality bed that will last for years than a bunch of cheap ones that wear out quickly (except when they are accident-prone puppies). Please accept my invitation to OneKingsLane.com and let me know what you think!
