Backstage Beauty: Fall 2010 Hair Looks at Tadashi Shoji





Backstage at Tadashi Shoji, I had the chance to talk with lead hair stylist Rodney Cutler, a veteran of Tadashi's shows, about creating the hair looks for the Fall 2010 runway show. Cutler explained that while Tadashi usually requests chic up-dos, this season the designer wanted hair completely down and uncomplicated to show off the beautiful clothes. Key products used to get the look include Cutler Volumizing Spray and Redken Workforce 09. "We wanted hair to move on the runway, to be fresh young and a simple look," Cutler said.

Forever 21 Swimwear Collection Preview




Forever 21 has a preview of their swimwear collection called Beauty and the Beach, showcasing bikinis and one-piece bathing suits in colorful prints like florals, stripes, leopard print, tribal and tropical. Something for everyone! The styling is adorable, as are the illustrations of fish, waves and fruity drinks accompanying the photographs. Can't say my pasty winter-self is looking forward to bathing suit season just yet but what the heck, bring it on. More pics after the jump…

At a Glance: Tracy Reese Fall 2010 Collection




For her Fall 2010 collection, designer Tracy Reese layered chunky knits and arm warmers over girly frocks and successfully veered into edgier territory with faux-fur accents, black lace, rustic checks and stretch suede.

Inspiration: "An eclectic mix of urban and rural style," said the designer.
Fave looks: Cosmetic hued cocktail dresses paired with arm warmers and chunky scarves; splashy prints like leopard in an unexpected shade of blue.
