Look for Less: Marc by Marc Jacobs Wedge Sandals

Marc by Marc Jacobs at ShopStyle

How adorable are these Marc by Marc Jacobs wedges? Available in either red, green, black or white, these sensational patent leather sandals with a cork heel will cost you $340 at Zappos.com. But we can do better than that, right ladies?

Victoria's Secret to the rescue! These aren't patent leather like the designer originals, but they're also not $340. Available in harvest red, cocoa powder, putty or black, these Colin Stuart sandals are made from soft suede and carry a much more reasonable price tag of $59. Click any image for details!

UPDATE: Blogger Anusha just dropped a comment with the following find from Steve Madden. I think it's a much better match and the price is better, too! The "Vivaci" wedge sandal is available in white, black, gold or coral for $49.95. Thanks, Anusha!!

I found another pair that looks very similar to these MJ sandals: Steve Madden "Vivaci", on sale for $49.95 on their website. Here's a link: http://www.stevemadden.com/item.aspx?id=46149

It's also in other colors! :o)

Love Steve Madden - I didn't actually realize how much they rip off designers in general (I found a pair of sandals that were dead-on identical to my Matt Bernson ones, minus studded footbed details) but they still do it with quality and care, which makes them one of my faves. Also, I can wear a size up in Madden's which makes me feel better :-)

I don't believe in "shoe knock-offs" because shoe designs are recycled so much it's hard not to copy one another! I love the VS ones and the suede actually looks more comfy than the patent leather!

The Maddens are quite a find! Glad they turned up, as I like the patent/cork pairing much better than the suede.

I don't know about anyone else but everytime I see a cork-soled shoe I just can't get past the thought that I should stick a post-it note or something to it...I've never been able to buy a pair because of this. Which, I guess means I'm out of luck this season when it comes to shoes! ;-)

PS: This is not to say that I don't like the shoes...I do. I'd love a pair of the SM's, however, I'd totally prefer them if they had a plain black or brown, wooden wedge!

I found my shopping paradise in Hong Kong. And I don't mean all the fabulous endless streets of High End Brand stores like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Chanel etc...Although those did make me yearn. I found something that suites my purse much better...Small boutiques that carrie brands of young local designers and also high end brands to much cheaper prize (due to not cutting the final quality control), but still amazing!Just go to the small malls of boutiques in Wan Chai (Wan Chai Road) and Jaffe and Lockhart Rd in Causeway Bay.

I love them all. TJ's had similar styles as well.
