First Look Press Photos Carlos Falchi for Target Handbag Collection
Look 1: Faux-Snakeskin Collage Flap Hobo in Gray, $39.99

Back on October 10th, I posted a Lucky mag ad that gave us our first look at the Carlos Falchi for Target handbag collection, which will be sold at Target stores and online at Target.com from November 1 through December 24. Now the press photos are out so we can drool over the entire collection! I will definitely be purchasing something from this line. Haven't been this excited about a designer collab in a while. I love looks 1, 3, 5 and 10 the most. It'll be hard choosing which one(s) to buy although the prices are very reasonable, ranging from $19.99 to $49.99. Are you looking forward to this line? What's your favorite look?

I hope they look better in person than in the pictures. I'm not too impressed with this line.

I am not digging the patchwork style. :-(

not just ugly, but trashy, too.

I've never been a huge Falchi fan and I'd be concerned about the quality of this "faux-snakeskin" material.

They might feel and look better in person, but they look a little plastic-y to me. I think Target has had better collabs than this one thus far.

i like 6..but i have a feeling this will be like botkier (aka nightmare regarding quality)

don't like all of them but LOVE number 1

I agree, the Target handbag collabs are always ridiculously skimpy on quality, yet still pricy. It's like the designers still need to get their 90% markup on the brand name alone, so out of a $25 price point, that leaves $2.50 to build the actual bag. The green one is hideous, it actually makes me nauseous to look at it.

I want to have bag #3 because I liked it most of all:)

Just bought one!!!!!! They has some of them at my Target this morning. I bought the purple crossbody bag. They are very nice and my co-workers and I are admiring it as we speak. When I get paid later this week I am going back to get the big green bag. I can't resist.

I saw them at my target this past week and I'm going to pass on these. Just wasn't overly impressed with the material.

I just bought the purple cross body bag Friday, Oct 30th. It looks much better in person. And it was only $24.99. I didn't care for the other bags at all. They looked extremely cheap. The cross body bag seemed more "reptilian" in texture than the others and I love the 2 folded areas on the flap. The bag closes with a magnetic invisible closure underneath the flap very nicely. Too bad, I was really hoping that green bag would work out, but it didn't look that great.

I got 6a, the small black satchel. It's very pretty and there's a lot of nice details: the bright, bold print lining, the 2 interior pockets and the 2 pen holders and clip. I like the 2 invisible magnets at the top that close the purse. I like the overall design. Very stylish. Downside? I'm using this for going out. The material is too thin to be used as an everyday purse.

Many reptile species are going extinct due to the use of their hides for leather so fake snakeskin is the way to go. I applaud Target and Carlos Falchi for their conservation efforts.

I saw these at the store this week, and I have to admit they are cuter in person than they looked in these pictures. I still say no thanks, but they actually looked pretty good.
#17 MEP on 2009-11-05 14:39 (Reply)
The bags are totally NOT cuter in person! They look cheap, feel like plastic and aren't worth the $25-$50 price tags. Not impressed at all.

the Collage Flap Hobo in Brown, there are a few others that I like but that was my favorite
