LPLP Linea Pelle Collection for Target

LPLP Linea Pelle handbags for Target

The LPLP Linea Pelle collection has quietly launched on Target.com, confirming rumors that the popular designer brand Linea Pelle was teaming up with the big box retailer. I spotted 13 different handbag styles, including a satchel, a stud embellished hobo, a zipper embellished hobo, a drawstring bucket bag, and two styles of crossbody bag. The bags are available in white, pink, blue, black and tan, and range in price from $19.99 to $34.99.

Linea Pelle is known for vintage-inspired casual designs—including belts, bracelets and bags—with luxe details like simple studs and gold hardware. Aside from the fact that LPLP is not genuine leather, I think they did a pretty good job of translating the designer look for less, especially when you look at things like the zipper pulls and the way the straps and pockets are attached to the bags. Love those exterior pockets for things like lip gloss and my cellphone. For the price, I might get the blue satchel and the pink hobo to brighten my wardrobe for spring.

Jill Stuart Fall 2011

Departing from last season's soft black and white palette, Jill Stuart opted for richly satuarated colors, bold colorblocking and glittery metallics for her Fall 2011 collection presented during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City. There were prints, too, featuring lovely woodland creatures such as owls and foxes (Stuart drew inspiration from Heidi Specker's photos of the Black Forest in Germany), Bambi furs, chunky knits and lots of leather. I was drawn most to the autumnal greens, oranges and reds that looked so vibrant on the runway, and the festive party dresses. Accessories ranged from structured ladylike bags to fanny packs (Twitter was instantly abuzz because of those love 'em or hate 'em pouches - I liked them.) The boots were also gorgeous as were the towering oxford heels and wedges. I left feeling inspired by the magic. Check out a few of the photos I snapped during the show for a slightly different perspective.

Guests of the show were gifted one Lip Jewel and one Jelly Eye Color from Jill Stuart's makeup line. Tweet "Hey @budgetbabe! I want to win Jill Stuart makeup!" by 5 pm today 3/2/2011 and I'll pick one person to give the makeup to. Update: Congrats to our winner, @jamcakeliz!

I'm a senior in high school and not very girly but I want to look beautiful at prom, what girl doesn't? I fell in love with this dress that Emma Watson wore to the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute's 2010 Gala. After looking up the dress online, I found out it's a custom made Burberry dress, but I was wondering if you had any suggestions on other dresses similar or dresses you think I might like.

Here's a picture of the dress...
